Re: The Thread
FINALLLY got around to seeing SW EPVII this weekend.
Good flick, hands down the best 7th entry in a film saga I've ever seen |

Re: The Thread
Caught like 20 minutes of previews before the movie
There are way too god damn many comic book movies being made. I mean, I'm sitting in the exact middle of the theater with 3D glasses on sipping a Coke Zero waiting for Star Wars so I don't have much room to talk, but seriously those movies are for fucking nerds. Grow up. |
Re: The Thread
they need to make more Tim Allen movies

Re: The Thread
I like how theaters will sell you a huge soda pop (no small a anymore) but expect you to sit thru not only a 2 hour movie but like 8 trailers.
Hahha like hello my bladder needs a break here. Can you pause? Nope. So I just have to miss 5 mins of the movie then get shushed when I ask what I missed? |
Re: The Thread
Hateful 8 apparently has an intermission.
Good on QT for being tapped in to audience needs |

Re: The Thread
had the same problem friday night Arbs but my theater was nice enough to provide an intermission
honestly would have been better off just never going back in though |
Re: The Thread
wow RB nsync
it's only certain performances of the hateful 8 that have intermissions though however, you'd be much better served to just take a three hour long intermission from that flick, as in, never go in the first place |

Morning all. See you all survived new year's. Watched The Man From U.N.C.L.E. last night. Liked it a lot, will watch again.

Re: The Thread
Hey bro!
Mentions Robert E Simon. |
Re: The Thread
Will not be seeing hateful 8. Honestly it looks like garbage. 3 hours for the sake of being 3 hours. Typical QT masturbatory bullshit

I think you have to ask yourself, 'am I a tarantino fanboy?' and if the answer is yes then I guess you will like it? I have liked every tarantino movie I've seen (not all of them; I've only seen reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, both kill bills and inglourious basterds) but this one was a total misfire. btw there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fanboy of something, I don't use that term in a pejorative way. to me this movie seemed like tarantino doing an experiment; 'how do I find out if maybe my fans actually only like the violence and don't care about anything else?' |
Re: The Thread
Hey spell, that movie is pretty sick. Very stylish

this script got leaked years back and QT got pissed off about it and didn't want to make it anymore. so, he was going to turn it into a play instead, but that fell through and viola! years later its still on the shelf and QT changes his mind and says "what the hell?? why not??" so, in that sense, it kind of was a "for me" movie by QT |
