New DMB COVID-19 protocols finally came out. Been waiting for this for a while now. Will definitely feel much safer at shows. Was hoping they would require vaccines, but this is a good start.

It's about time. Vaccine or negative test is a no-brainer at this juncture and gives you options no matter if you want to get the shot or not.

Definitely glad they are doing this- but the kicker will be how many people will adhere to the masks recommendation. I’ll be masking up for my shows this fall. We as vaccinated people will also catch and spread Delta, so a good N95 may help a lot. Hope more people start wearing them again.

I understand the sentiment, but at the same time, if you can't ever prove vaccination because you're too afraid to take it somewhere out of fear of losing the card, what value does the card really have in the first place?

I just don't find it ideal to carry something that doesn't fit in my wallet or will bend in my pocket to 30+ shows the rest of the year. Appreciate the guidance on phone picture or a pass through the venue. I'll look into it.

I looked into it and apparently the answer is yes, you can use the smartphone (at least for the upcoming Eagles concert at MSG, if you're going to some other show there you'll want to confirm but I assume it's the same for all shows)

I didn’t see twenty masks across the whole night at DTE. And lots of people are voluntarily masking up in public again here, so it’s not because this is an area that doesn’t mask to begin with. Will be interesting to see how many people comply with a mask recommendation.

Casino has no updates regarding a mask policy since May and I wouldn't expect the whole place to make it required. Considering how certain Texas venues wouldn't play ball with Jason Isbell on his policy I would expect something similar out of Oklahoma.

Originally, I was like “this is no big deal. It can go in my purse.”
Then I just went to the venues Facebook page and realized they have a clear bag or small clutch policy. So the purse / bag is out.

The last time I went to a show with a measured clutch that fit the size policy, security still took it. Plus, I think my current vaccine card is probably larger than that anyway. :lol

I fully support the vax requirement.

But what are the limits on a venue/act changing the rules of entry after tickets are sold? Can they make new requirements right up until the gates open? Can you get a refund if you don’t accept the new requirements for entry? Do you get a refund if they turn you away at the gate?

Again, not disputing that a vax requirement is a necessary thing in this instance. But I’m always interested in rights of the consumer of anything against big business, and where the authority to make these changes is coming from.

Merriweather post pavilion in Maryland announced a few days ago that vaccinations or negative test are required for all events there.

They said photos of your card will be fine. Wondering if DMB will do the same. Its the venues that will have to deal with this.

1. COVID-19 was the leading cause of death by an infectious disease in 2020, and third leading cause of death overall.
2. Death is not the only bad outcome.
3. These simple measures (vaccines, testing, masking) will significantly reduce the spread of the disease.

If they are doing this, I wish they would just require a test. I know of at least 7 people that are fully vaccinated but still ended testing positive for COVID and getting pretty sick (though not sick enough to go to the hospital).

If they're smart, they'll allow you to go prove vaccination / negative test all four hours leading up to the show and just slap a wrist band on you - if they're trying to do all of this when gates are open and everyone is trying to get in, God help us.

Will they recognize out-of-country vaccine proof? Because if not, I have a fun brainteaser for everyone:

• I'm fully vaccinated in Canada.
• I'm moving to the US for work the night of Aug. 19.
• I have tickets to the Gorge Sept. 3-5.
• Canadians can't get CDC cards for our Canadian vaccinations.
• Even if I get a bonus dose of J&J when I wake up Aug. 20 (is it safe to?) and talk my way into getting a CDC card, I'll be just shy of the 2 weeks needed for the Gorge.
• If I get tested 48 hours before the Gorge shows, how do I get tested for n3 when we're in the middle of nowhere?

Anyone with info, help me out here.
