First Song of 2021

I bet $1 it's Grey Street with the 3rd verse

One Sweet World will open the Summer/Fall 2021 tour

It's gonna be Granny. After a cancellation of a tour and Covid it makes so much sense. Plus it's a great opener.

Hello, how are you doing today
I hope I find you feeling healthy
I'm so glad our paths crossed this time today
On our way into the night

Thought there was a thread on this already. Hello Again is the answer.

Granny or one sweet world are easy possibilities. Kicking it all off with two step would be fun - similar positive vibe.

Could be that Windows kicks it off though - Dave’s played it tons himself throughout the pandemic….

Curious even what will get played in this Dave and Carter thing that’s happening today…

Re: First Song of 2021

Ants would be a really great opener as their “anthem” to kick off year 30.

Otherwise DDTW has opened many a tour.

Re: First Song of 2021

The only answer is Hello Again. But because it makes so much sense I know Dave won’t play it (playing i.e playing JTR when it’s raining). I’m sure it’ll be something typical like DDTW. Just give the fans what they want Dave it reallly isn’t that hard. :BANG

And, I'm imagining, it would be a top 10 version

My safe guess is OSW, but I’ll also throw Warehouse out there.

I would rather Ants or Two Step over Hello Again. Hello Again would be funny because, you know, “hello again”. But it needs to be an anthem for year 30.

Granny would work, but they opened 2020 with it

If it’s not Two Step then cancel the rest of the tour.

And if it’s Bayou then really cancel the tour.

Re: First Song of 2021

It can't be Granny for two reasons:

1. Not explosive enough as the first song back from all of this
2. Insensitive to those who lost a grandparent

There is no reason why the band should come back from the pandemic playing an overrated song from arguably their worse album. So many better choices than Hello Again. I don't get why there is such a push in the fanbase for the song to open the tour.

The song has nothing to do with grandparents though, Dave just gave it a name before he wrote lyrics to it and the title stuck. The song is about finding love and positivity in times of darkness and trouble, which is fitting.

I agree. It should be Two Step.

It could be Granny. But it should be Two Step.

It won't be Hello Again. That's just silly talk.

Two Step would be perfect. I think Billies would also suffice

You're right. They should open with Angel.

You think Hello Again is overrated? I mean, I appreciate you being a tough critic, but good lord.
