when I looked it was only 20 items anyway...in years past it was much bigger. Perhaps the break in touring was the culprit of not having much surplus of inventory..

Not really anything new but Bob Babisch, Summerfest, VP of Entertainment just mentioned Dave Matthews Band has new music coming out in an interview with local news. I'll try and locate the interview. It was very brief when discussing the recent release of the Summerfest line up.

Yeah, I highly doubt that he heard Dave mention it in a random YouTube appearance like 7 months ago and still remembers it to mention now lol

If the album is "done" I doubt they are going to road-test songs like they did in previous years before releases. I would look for this to be out sooner than later.

I guess one of the only good things to come out of the pandemic is new albums from DMB, Rammstein, and Whitechapel.

This is just a guess, but since last week was the Cinco de Mayo same, I would think this upcoming week Woolf be a great week to release the new album news.

I think Carson was telling us the album actually isn’t done and they are still working on it- which means it will probably still be a bit.

Why are people linking the Cinco De Mayo sale with the album? People think that they’re going to just throw a new album announcement into a Cinco de Mayo sale email (or vice versa)? No way.

We're at the stage where every week is "the week we're getting news" until that week actually happens and someone says "see? I knew it!"

No one with any actual knowledge has indicated when we're getting official news.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I want that instrumental Stand Up record. Might give a reason to enjoy Smooth Rider other than that feeling after dropping the kids off at the pool.

I followed up on a tip from Cscottrun about some DMB fans having a group chat with Rob Cavallo. Rob said he texts with Dave regularly but also said that he did not work on the new album.

I wasn't part of the chat but I'll try to find out if there were any other interesting details.

One other unrelated detail/clarification: The name of the studio in Vegas is Studio A, not A Studios as I had incorrectly stated. Rashawn was "tracking horns" there at the end of October/beginning of November. The overdubs were recorded in January.

Do you know if they are still overdubbing? or still recording for the album in general? Based on the the bits of info we have, sounds like they are still working, but at this point I would think it would need to be something beyond dubbing.

To clarify a bit, Rob was a one time guest on the clubhouse app (which, quite frankly, I have no idea how it works). But from what I understand, its like zoom, but audio only, and with more of a social media style/feel to it. My understanding is that there is no recording.

Well fuck, wish I had known about that. Rob is legitimately one of my favorite producers, he's done great work with other artists I love so that would have been a cool opportunity.

I wish I knew. I haven't heard that they're currently doing more recording or if they're planning on doing more recording. I'm under the impression that they're in the mixing/post production stage but I don't know that for certain.

The truth is, if they are in the mixing/post production stage, it's still up in the air whether we get it "soon" or not. We heard it was in this stage last October! But it's still good news that it's not scrapped and they are still planning to release it.

and that’s quite normal if you work on winter months and leave mixing/post production in the spring.

My bet is that the album will be released in June/July.

Consider one more thing: Dave practically disappeared from webcasts after Dave and Carter performance (November 19).
Assuming that the two of them were together to work for the new album, to me is likely that they have been intensively worked to the recording between December and April.
And Dave re-appear at the end of April.

So, it makes sense to me what Carson wrote (that they should be in mixing phase now)
