Playing DMB on shuffle and Everyday->Halloween->Water Into Wine Jam from Cinci 08 just came on. Not the best version of Halloween, but WOW. That must have been an incredible moment. Anyway, it got me to thinking how much fun they were having that summer prior to Roi dying. They really seemed reinvigorated and excited to be playing together. Even with Roi’s accident they seemed to be having fun given that they thought he was going to be fine. I know it’s not worth thinking about, but I think we were on the verge of seeing DMB reclaim its old self that year. Roi was playing with a new found energy, Boyd still could be heard and was playing well, Dave’s voice was still pretty solid, Tim wasn’t shredding constantly, Carter still played with some finesse and dynamics, Fonz has always been Fonz, and Rashawn actually seemed to find his place. Obviously we all know what happened, but I really wish we could have seen what was to come.

Most of the live dmb I listen to comes from 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008. I am also very fond of the acoustic sets.

I also enjoyed the acoustic sets. The sets got a little stagnant, but they sounded good.

11 years to the day since D&T's Radio City show. Absolutely love the performances. Give it another shot today (best version of Stay or Leave and a great run from Grace Is Gone to the amazing Two Step)

I wish DMB would do a few studio collaborations.

I know it's difficult enough to get new studio material from just the band themselves, but I'd love to see some cool/funky songs with current or lesser known artists.

This is pretty cool. A friend of mine has an art exhibit of hers at the Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University. Dave visited it and had a photo taken in front of it. I have a photo of myself speaking in front of it at an event when the exhibit was in Little Rock.
