As is the common argument, I'm not against Landeskog getting a four-game suspension for delivering a blow to the head. It was reckless and deserving of supplemental discipline. I'm never a homer when it comes to player safety. It just bugs me that the DoPS seems to pull these numbers out of a hat. They'll throw the book at one guy (even justifiably so in most cases), then let another guy off with a slap on the wrist.

Kind of surprised pens are considering trading Cole. I know his contract is up, but he had been a physical presence back there. Has not been the worst dman for them either, letang has been awful.

So I watched the Flyers/Pens last night - GREAT game. The colour commentary guy for the Pens though - so very, very annoying. I don't know how you fans put up with that for an entire season.


Then again, this is the 'host' (or whatever) for Oilers broadcasts, so who am I to judge.

Pens broadcast sucks, almost as bad as the Bruins (Bat signal?).

But man, the Flyers suck the hardest of the bunch right now. Frustrating when there is all this untapped potential looming.

I listen to music with the games on mute. If I had a DVR or could delay tv in some way, I would match up the radio and listen to that call instead.

I'm the same way with Phillies games. Just so unlistenable at times. It's the worst sport to watch when you have a bunch of chuckle heads as your commentary team. I missing Harry Kalas so much.

Just saw the highlights, wow, what a game - amazing OT goal by Crosby. Philly dinging a lot of iron no less. Hope Murray is alright, would be awful if he is out more than a few days.

I love a good tight game as much as anyone but sometimes I like to enjoy a blowout by my team. DeBrincat looked damn good in his first career hat trick - yeah, I know Kane put his third on a tee for him but he still buried it - unselfish as hell by Kane who easily could have shot that but I doubt the thought ever crosed his mind, he wanted to get DeBrincat that hattie. I know Crawford gave up 3 on the scoresheet but it probably should have been one since one deflected of his own guy and he had no chance while another had no zip on it and it surprised Crow to get such a soft shot when he was expecting a slapper.

Pre-game cancer ceremony was very well done, so classy! Starts with Eddie O who had just completed a radiation treatment at 3pm yesterday and still made it out to escort that little girl for the ceremonial faceoff - awesome to see how much support Eddie is getting from every team and their fans. Lastly, awesome move by both Kane and Perry after the ceremonial faceoff - both had to stop the shy little girl to give them their sticks, give her a hug and some words of encouragement. NHL is so great with reaching out to the community, every other sport should be emulating them in that regard!

Years ago the Yankees TV announcers were so annoying to me that I would just mute my TV and tune in the AM radio - which could get frustrating at times with the slight time delay but much less frustrating than listening to the dopes on TV! :lol
