Might as well at this point! Keep it going!

But seriously, that sucks for Vegas. Anyone have an idea how bad the injury to Dansk is? Seemed like he was a decent 3rd string goaler

I cannot believe the refs gave Voracek a retroactive penalty during the TV timeout last night. You can't do that!

Happened to the Wings in the playoffs a few years ago....it happens.

I tend to think it is relatively bad if Vegas is seriously considering recalling 19 year old Dylan Ferguson on an emergency basis per GM McCrimmon regarding a possible trade for a goalie:

Quote:

"I don't think that's what we're going to look at," he said. "When you look at trying to have somebody available for the game [Tuesday] it's going to be easier to get Dylan Ferguson here than it is going to be to trade for a goalie and have him get to New York in time for the game."

I will give you Howard or Mrazek for a 1st round pick Vegas. lol Preferably Howie since Mrazek is younger.

Was this a 'Toronto called and noted a penalty' type situation or did the AZ coach ask the on ice team to review something he saw?

I forget the player but the announcers said the player was pleading the case during the timeout and the refs either made a call to Toronto, looked at a review or just went with the evidence of the Yotes guys face. It was the right call, but if they missed it live action then it needs to stay missed.

Also, unless I am getting my penalties mixed up, it erased a man advantage for the Flyers and gave the Yotes the advantage since it was a double minor high sticking.

The call on Vorachek in OT was ticky tacky too, but it was right by the textbook

Rangers rallied for 4 goals in the third period against Vegas last night. Vegas is having a rough road trip so far. AV gets to keep his job for at least one more night.

That was my first thought about the game last night.

Wysh had a funny tweet about it.

If Vegas had a goalie I wonder if it would be different. That's just not fair really.

the usa jerseys for the olympics are one of the worst things I've ever seen with my eyes.

Absolutely. The guy was starting for the Kamloops Blazers and then finds himself starting his first NHL game at MSG.

The Wings when they had their worst injury filled seasons never lost that many goalies.

Underperforming Hawks vs banged up Flyers for Wednesday night rivalry on the NHL channel. Hopefully the game will be fun to watch, win or lose!

I guess AV will take the 2pts any way he can right now. Probably back to reality against the Lightening though.

I think Canada's are even worst to be honest. It seems like these are jerseys that we could have expected to see in 1996 or something. Very weird designs.

Yeah my first thought was the soccer jerseys I wore in the local league in like 1996 when I was 7 years old that had tiny triangles all over it and was sort of shiny.

Agreed, though even my soccer teams never had jersey's that damn ugly. Those are just plain hideous and I doubt people will be lining up to purchase them. Strange too because during the World Cup of Hockey both nations had great jersey's IMO.

the 96 World Cup jerseys were excellent. I don't know why they just use the same jerseys throughout the years.

Holy cow these are awful. The knockoff china jerseys look better than these.

Re: The NHL Thread (Penns are garage league champs)

From Friedman's 31 Thoughts: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/3...ge-impact-nhl/

"With back-to-back wins over Florida and Arizona, Detroit ended a six-game losing streak and remains in the thick of the playoff race. I mentioned during last Saturday’s show about the possibility of Dave Tippett going to Detroit if — and I stress if — the Red Wings wanted to make a change, but I believe in that possibility less now. Detroit did some due diligence on Tippett. That’s not to say it was imminent, but simply collecting information. They asked enough people that it got around."

When they lost 6 in a row, I figured they would have a veteran coach lined up cause neither of the assistants seemed like good candidates for an interim tag. Shows you how hot of a seat Blash is on if they were asking around about Tippett.

Agreed but you know how it works, they constantly need to change the look so dopes pay money to buy a new version of a jersey they may already own!

Yeah, it is not terrible but in all honesty I cannot say I like it - it just appears to be the lesser of X evils! :lol

Re: The NHL Thread (Penns are garage league champs)

Score did not reflect how good the Flyers/Hawks game was. Both goalies were solid, Crawford got the shutout while Elliot played great but a bad bounce to a waiting Hawk cost him one goal with Anisimov cashing a PP goal, the goal by Toews undressed him and made him look silly on a breakaway (the only legit goal so to speak) and then an empty netter by Debrincat sealed the deal at 3-0. Poor damn Flyers getting even more banged up when Gudas had to leave making Philly play with 5 defensemen. Still great game, both teams (specifically the goalies) played damn good!

Was great to see Toews looking like his old self on that breakaway. Hope that gets him going.

Re: The NHL Thread (Penns are garage league champs)

Reality check for the NY Rangers tonight. A win against a good Lightening team would go a long way in releasing some of the tension and pressure on AV and the team. A loss and we will be speculating and expecting a coaching change announcement. Should be interesting to see.
