This is so hard I believe for all of us because when a tradgity happens, or someone gets sick, or someone dies we all as ants have turned to the band's music to help get us through it. Now its the thing we all have used over and over that is causing us the pain. I dont know what to say or think. I am totally at a loss. RIP Leroi, heaven just got a lot more musical!

I still hasn't sunk in for me yet, I am still kind of in shock. I mean I know I miss him, he was a huge part of my life even though I never met the man.

I think that is true for a lot of people here, and it shows how this is more than just a concert for us and the band.

Roi, you'll be remembered, missed, celebrated, and glorified for an extensive time.

What a shock. We will all miss you terribly. Let's all keep Leroi and his family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Mr. Moore, I'll now treasure my DMB collection more than ever with its extensive catalog of the sweet stylings of Mr. Saxophone.

Let's all pull together and wait awhile before we start over analyzing the band's immediate public reaction and/or predicting what we think the band should or shouldn't do. I'm sure the band is in more of a state of shock and mourning then we could ever know.

I cannot believe it. "Say Goodbye" is my favorite song because of his solo... He will definitely be missed. RIP Leroi, and thank you; may you continue to live on through the music.

I just got woken up by a crazed husband, telling me that Leroi has died! I am in such shock... and my heart is broken. I can't imagine him not being part of the band, part of all of our lives. He will be in our hearts and minds and ears forever! I don't know what else to say, I haven't been this sad in a LONG time! I feel like I lost someone I knew personally. But thats just they way DMB makes you feel, like they are playing to you! I just feel lucky to have heard him play every summer since 1998. I will have those memories forever! Rest in Peace Leroi! Our family sends their deepest sympathy to his family and to the Dave Matthews Band...

It was hard to know how to feel when I heard the news. I never even met the guy but I still have that empty feeling.

This is extremely sad news.

As far as them playing last nights show, the RoadCrew page says it all:

We are mourning our fallen brother. As we sat this afternoon, contemplating the news we had just received, we wondered how we could possibly do a show today. Dave put it into perspective stating, "There's no place I'd rather be than here with you guys right now."
