Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Oh fuck, that's right it would have been today. God dammit I missed it. I suck so much. Being busy has turned me around :lol:lol

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I dunno if it was shown on NBC/CBC but on Fox Sports Detroit Stevie Y gave his stick to a girl sitting right over the dugout and she absolutely broke down crying. What a moment for her and nice move by the captain.
Also loved seeing Jiri Fischer out there again. With all the success the Wings have had over the last 20 years or so there are still two big what if's and that's Vladdie and Jiri. Both cut down in their prime. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
So awesome that Mark Howe played and his pops was a coach. One of the greatest highlights of my writing career was meeting and chatting with both of them during intermission of a game last season. Both incredibly nice people. I'm in the middle of reading Mark's book which is just fantastic.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Ugh, this game can be so frustrating. Sharks dominated the first but trail 1-0. Ducks goal was a fluke bounce off a weak point shot, we appeared to score on the PP as time ran out, but time had indeed run out.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
back to back come from behind wins for Isles. Just finished watching the game this morning as I avoided the score all last night. Isles making the annual mid-season push back towards respectability??? Getting Nabby back has helped. Getting Vis back would really help, too.
Okposo has really come on strong and sure hope he makes team USA today. Will be disappointed if he does not. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

CBC's production quality is just so much better. Love that I can watch this.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Detroit's uniforms are so cool. Simple yet so effectively good.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Watching the NBC broadcast, it feels lie the center ice cameraman is having a hard time adjusting to the increased distance from the rink. It's very jerky, he doesn't seem to know how much the camera needs to move as he pans.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Love Detroit's sweaters.
Really fun game to watch, snow is really effecting the gameplay. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I love the numbers on Detroit's jerseys. They match the Winterclassic font
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Love the numbers too, didn't notice that they match the winter classic font. Nice!

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I don't know if it was intentional but I think it fits the theme nicely
