EDIT: Except Joe would probably tell him he sucks if they ever met in the SCF, and the Chicago boys would threaten to cut his balls off. |

The ribbings we give each other in here are nothing compared to a hockey locker room... I can't imagine what an NHL one would be like. This would probably all seem like sissy talk to him.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
Yeah...I think he would be able to dish it back to you guys for sure. Also, not sure if this is public or what not (I don't read much into Kings news) but he told me they are apparently looking at Drury. Making Dustin nervous of losing his number, 23.

The other video I love is Dave Brown when he was with the Oilers, talking about he's got fucking cement blocks as fists.

Maybe Dustin knows OMGCG and could convince him to make an account too.

I would hate to see him on the Flyers. If he comes back to the East Coast, I'm pulling him to NYR.
Here is a question/discussion topic: We briefly talked last night about the season starting in Europe and how a team should not have to go to Europe until every other team has done so. For example, it seems the Kings go every year, and they have an insane travel schedule on top of that. Would that be a fair deal? |

I would hate the Flyers to go over there. The jetlag is terrible.

And re: Europe, in some sense it's fair to have everyone go, but this is about marketing. They want to pick teams that will draw interest. |

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
I don't think Europe is really a bad thing for the teams to start the season. The league gives them a fair amount of time to adjust from the jetlag, and the bruins credited it as a major team building trip last year.

The rest was spot on I think. You sign an up and coming player like Kesler or Penner for a bigger number then they are worth and hope it works out. Teams will find it harder to match for an unproven than they would a Stamkos. Plus the team tendering the offer sheet might find it easier to pay $4mil for a player rather than 11mil. Also a good point on the floor. Since you have to spend $48mil this year you aren't likely to let a bigger salary go. |
