2 game suspension for Landeskog after boarding Kirby Dach last night. Not sure it was that bad, just unfortunate timing because Dach had gobe down to a knee jusy prior to the hit and Landy never pulled up. Also, I know he is not a habitually dirty player at all but during that one shift he lined up a few other punishing hits like he was pissed or something.

Evander Kane to be suspended for 21 games due to a covid protocol violation - likely a fake vax card as many have said and reported on. Seems like the guy is always in the middle of a controversy for something and is more detrimental to his team than their opponents considering he has only surpassed 50 points once in 13 seasons, has never scored more than 30 goals in a season, never scored more than 27 assists, takes way too many dumb penalties, is a -67 when he is out there plus a general red light pain in the ass. Seems to me the hassle of having a 2nd line wing who is always in some controversy and doesn't produce at the rate SJ hoped is just not worth his 7mil cap him annually. He's like the dumb and nowhere as good Kane! :)

Agree on both counts, the guy is just a jerk.

I won't even get started on this but could not agree more, why espn thinks I would rather hear two nobodies announce instead of Eddie O and Pat Foley is just beyond my comprehension. Hawks cannot buy a win so the annoying announcers surely must be at fault, certainly cannot be the fact that the D is simply not working except for the great PK.

Just out of curiosity what do you think of Duncan Keith in a small sample size thus far? I sure as heck miss the guy considering my D has hung both Flower and Lankinen out to dry all 4 games. Keith may have been getting a little older but he always tried his best, motivated the team as an A should do, provided veteran saavy baack there and lead by example both on and off the ice. I am curious how he is being received up there in Edmonton and I am guessing most players and fans would welcome a guy with his pedigree, leadership, play and helping the community - heck the guy is a HOFer by almost any metric or he'd not have been listed as one of the best 100 players ever.

He's been pretty much invisible, which is just how I like my d-men to be. Steady, solid, don't fuck up. Small sample size but he's checking the right boxes so far. We're not counting on him for any offence, of course.

I'm too far removed from Edmonton to know how the locals/media are taking to him for the most part though. I'm stuck listening to people blather on about the Leafs, and holy fuck do they ever live and die by each game - it's wild.

Probably the only one better in any game is Shohei Ohtani. Nobody should be able to skate and get around people while handling the puck like McDavid does.
