Re: The NHL Thread
I'm really bummed I didn't pack my jersey with me when I moved. I can't wait for Thursday night. It's been such an exciting time. I'm not a fan of the city of Pittsburgh, but I imagine SS is going to be insane. I'd really like to see how the outdoor viewing party goes nuts if they win (the lot right across from the stadium). I forget what it's called.

Re: The NHL Thread
The Bucs are away that night, so the North Shore bars might be a fun alternative too. I remember having fun at McFadden's before DMB @ PNC Park.

Apparently Matt Joyce now lives back there too near the entrance where that park is. My friend and his fiancee see this super hot model walking their dog and theres two cars from FL parked there, a beamer and a Range Rover. Not exactly an area you would expect a MLB player to buy a house, even if it is just for a year. |

The NHL Thread
It's been so great to see my little AHL penguins turn into stars over the years, especially this year

Re: The NHL Thread
Since I have nothing else to look forward but the offseason, and Stamkos is the biggest free agent we've had hit the market in a while, I thought this was a nice read.

Re: The NHL Thread
^^ also shows that they need something better than 7" tablets for the officials during reviews. its embarrassing. during the reviews of the the goal in the Chicago/St. Louis series, the one official literally asks "wait, where's the puck?" to the other official
not ok |
Re: The NHL Thread
I just learned showtime has been doing a "Road to the Stanley Cup series"?
Need to check that out. |

As for the person that asked about open air viewing of the game. In my experience it is fun to do ONCE (assuming they look the other way on booze) if you are younger and want to be part of a huge crowd but after that you will probably not want to do another. It is like going to Times Square for NYE. |

Good read. Hopefully we can figure something out. Trading Bishop could be interesting, but we'd have to get good picks in return and not add too much money with any players we'd get. I have long term faith in Vasilevskiy and wouldn't mind seeing him get a full year if it meant having Stamkos. Having the ability to sign that 8th year could make some difference and so will the tax difference between the Canadian teams. Him and Tavaras would be nice as the top two centers for the Islanders, my dad would love that haha. Buffalo would have some nice looking forwards but they're not in the position to compete and he's expressed how he wants to win a cup and part of why he'd want to stay in Tampa. |
Re: The NHL Thread
The Isles one seemed the most far fetched to me. They would have two players for $10mil each and don't the depth built up that TBL or a team like Chicago (who has two very expensive players on it) has. The rest all made sense quite a bit. My thinking is Tampa, Toronto and Detroit as the top 3, in no particular order.
