I think he'll be less effective in Philly than he would have been in Pittsburgh. I predict this ends badly for him.

I am sure he will be getting some Free Candy at the end of December.

Very good move for the Caps.

Shero needs to do something.

:lol:lol

im confused though. we didnt wana pay leino much more than 2 mil a year, yet were giving a 39 year old winger who hasnt played in the NHL for 3 years 3.3 mil?? and we just picked up lilja - great - another guy who passes the pack to the other team just as much as his own.

is holmgren on crack?

:thumbsup I agree. It probably makes them the favorites to win the East if they get Vokoun. They're filling a major whole while picking up a first and second round pick from a team that might be back in the lottery again.

I still think they need that shutdown defenseman, but adding Vokoun would be a huge step.

I expect a night off to rest a nagging injury when they come to Pittsburgh. I don't think it will be LeBron's return to Cleveland hostile, but people are going to want blood.

Yeah it won't be that bad. That bad would have to be like Crosby going there.

Sharp's raise is in Brunette's 1-year deal. Everyone is locked up for three years and we still have $7 million. Bowman will make a big moves with a prospect and some rfa's

I'd like to see them trade for Zajac as a #2 C from Devils.

I don't know. He's now perceived as screwing Pittsburgh over twice. I'm not sure he ever did, but the Yinzers and Mario will never forget this.

That was a great deal by the Caps. A 1st and 2nd...thats nice when you've got the depth on the farm in goal like that.

yea i know - im saying the flyers didnt wana put out much more than 2 for him though, which is why i dont get how we would shell out 3.3 for jagr

if you wouldnt put 4 million into a young player who can still improve or be traded, why put 3.3 million into an older player who hasnt played in the NHL in 3 seasons?

They've got an extra 700k for Stamkos' offer sheet this way.

What makes the Varlamov deal worse? Colorado still has to sign him. He could very much still declare for the KHL.

Ahh only 1.8 cap hit. That's not bad at all. 5 years is a long deal though.

Well if he goes to the Rangers he'll flop and get bought out in a couple years.
