Jaromir Jagr has become the most hated athlete in Pittsburgh's history. Media is reporting the Pens are cutting ties with him. There will be no #68 hanging from the rafters anytime soon. As for what the Flyers paid him. LOL. That is all I can say.

I've always loved this guy, dating back to his clutch GWG in Game 7 OT vs Colorado in 2003.

I do love Tallon's aggressiveness though.

That Jovo deal will hurt in a couple years. Can't buy him out. Again the floor is going to be an interesting topic next year. Jovo is not worth that...not close.

Lots of guys on the Hawks now that I would like to see raise the cup in Brunette, O' Donnell, and Mayers

Nice signings so far for Hawks. Would like to see them add a Joel Ward or Erik Cole.

Good point on the no buy out. I guess when you're so far from the floor, you have to take these chances.

I can understand hating him for going to Philly but would he really have made all that big a difference for the Pens?

There was potential, especially with how anemic the power play has been. I don't think anybody thought he would make the team unbeatable, but if you're options are to fill the 2nd line with Pascal Dupuis or Jagr on the wing, you'd think the later would be the superior option.

Vokoun might be pricing himself out of it. This reminds me of Nabokov last summer.

Does anyone have a serious explanation for the Flyers' moves? I'm legitimately curious about what they are thinking.

Caps going after Vokoun now. :lol They just eliminated a team competing to sign him and picked up a first and second round pick.

This is a fantastic move by Washington.

WTF, Avs?

I'm super pissed, but it's hard to blame a guy for taking more money.

I think he'll be less effective in Philly than he would have been in Pittsburgh. I predict this ends badly for him.

:thumbsup I agree. It probably makes them the favorites to win the East if they get Vokoun. They're filling a major whole while picking up a first and second round pick from a team that might be back in the lottery again.
