I see Barry Trotz has done nothing to improve Caps powerplay. I didn't watch the whole game tonight so I'm not sure if they scored a powerplay goal, but the powerplays I saw all included one timers by Ovi on the left hand side. It was laughable.

I'm interested to see how Ovie plays in his own end and in the neutral zone this year. If Trotz gets through to him in that regard, he should instantly be up for the Adams.

Just read an article on Backstrom where he was talking about how the Olympic thing woke him up and he's turned a corner. Wants to be a better overall player and be a greater asset to the team. Words are words, but if he puts his money where his mouth is I think he'll emerge as the real leader of the team. I already like the guy, but there's always room to like him more!

I need help with the hockey jersey sizing. Mine at home are slightly big and they are larges but they are CCM from 15 years ago. The sizing chart on nhl.com confuses me a little. There is a medium, exactly what I want with the C and everything on a Zetterberg WC jersey, on ebay. I'm 5'7" and 160ish, would a medium be small on me? You expert jersey buyers, any information would be great.

Why would he work on improving the one thing that wasn't broke? That's pretty much all Ovie is good for, scoring PPGs from that spot. The power play is not where the Caps need to improve at all

You guys see this? What do you think? Nice to see two way guys like Getzlaf, Kopitar, etc. getting some love. Classic undervaluing of defenseman, but overall, a pretty spot on list.

I'm always annoyed how low Nick Backstrom is on those lists. How good he really is is completely overshadowed by Ovechkin. Backstrom is perhaps the best passer in the league, and is easily a top 20 player.

This is my honest guess at what our roster will look like. I don't think the Carbomb signing is that huge of a deal, I think he just take Mashinter's spot as the goon.

I think Leddy is gone. Rundblad will try and replace him, and if Rundblad sucks, in comes Clendening.

McKenzie RTd Arthur Staple of Newsday saying that Islanders are very close to acquiring Leddy but he isn't sure what will go back to Chicago.
