@bstrauss1: Blackhawks are 0-3 since @marklazerus proclaimed this the Golden Age of Chicago hockey. Just saying.

Re: The NHL Thread
Interesting to see them splitting up Keith and Seabrook. Need to do something to get that defense going and give Crawford a fighting chance in net, but never a good sign when you're messing with your defensive pairings in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals...
|
Re: The NHL Thread
I can't believe they are fucking with the D pairings, but guess I will trust the coach with the rings.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
I almost recognize this team.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Amazing that the PP capitalizes when they stop trying to be cute and pass 17 times for the perfect opportunity. Instead just rip shots towards the net and...magic.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Chicago Blackhawks, how we have missed thee.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Different team so far. Problem for the Hawks hasn't been getting a lead, though, it's been playing a full 60 minutes. Kane doing exactly what he needed to so far, though.

Get em. GET EM

But it's a whatever, and just a byproduct of all the skill players they have. My bigger issue is how awful the penalty kill has been this series. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Hawks on pace to win 24-0. I expect them to slow down and probably will only win by 15 or 16.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Great start
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Too bad it won't matter. I don't see how they can take Game 6. They just look terrible on the road. Blowing Game 2 after dominating the first 2 periods will come back to haunt them. The only chance they have is the fact the Kings have gone on 3 game losing streaks in the first couple rounds.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
I'd never say the Blackhawks have no chance to win a game, regardless of where it's played. If Kane gets on his game, let alone Sharp and Keith and the rest of 'em, they can beat any team anywhere anytime.

Between the cup run last year, and now the Olympics. I just think a lot of Blackhawk players are burnt out and beat up. If by some miracle they can act like themselves for 3 games, well anything is possible. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Nice start... Still gotta lotta work to do

I don't think the Blackhawks can say they're any more worn down than the Kings. Kings made a Cup run in 2012, went back to the Western Conference Finals last year and are back here this year. These guys have played as many games as anyone over the past couple years. Not to mention they went to Game 7s in each of the first two rounds, while the Blackhawks didn't have a whole lot of trouble. Can't see exhaustion or being burnt out as a factor. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Get it back
|
Gotta love Willie Mitchell
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Hawks to win this game 16-14
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Amazing what desperation does to these games -- Canadiens win 7-4 last night and now it's 3-2 already tonight.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
Probably the worst penalty of the series.

Gotta be the dumbest.

Re: The NHL Thread
Rosivals was equally dumb the other night

Re: The NHL Thread
Shaw's was pretty close, too. Blackhawks finally had some momentum and he dishes out an obvious cross-check in front of the net in the offensive zone, of all places.
|
Does Quick still have his dented cage on?
|
@RealFansProgram: For a team that supposedly believes in speed, smarts, and skill they sure do dress a lot of slow, dumb, and talentless.
|
@CheerTheAnthem: Hoping Bollig murders Versteeg during intermission, gets arrested and gives us the relief that we'll never have to see either of them again

Re: The NHL Thread
Love Chicago melts

Re: The NHL Thread
Not the same as a Philly melt.
