The result of the Neal knee on Marchand could have been just as bad as the result of that play. If Thornton gets 15 games for a first offense I don't see how Neal didn't get more than 5.

Whether you like it or not, the Nhl places more emphasis on an incident being pre-mediated. Thorntons attack was pre-meditated. He tried engaging a fight earlier, then skates all the way across ice, slew foots a guy, a punches/ forearms him in the face several times.

He did fake raise the cup and acted like he kissed it lol. That might've been the most fun 6-2 loss I've ever watched. Canucks fans can enjoy their December win.

What Thornton did was criminal, and Bertuzzi-like--but it should not be considered more dangerous than James Neal's antics. I'm so sick of him, it's not even funny. I always tell people, if I ever meet the Pens. I'll at least tell Crosby I respect him as a player and his skill set, but I'll never shake his hand. James Neal? He gets punched.
