Yes it could help determine a series but that's should not factor into his decision. That should factor into Weber's thinking not Shanny's. And that goes for al the players who did crap I'm just using Weber as the example, basically because that's where this all started.

And the sad thing is, Asham is going to (deservedly) get some heavy supplemental discipline, giving futher evidence to the claim that Shanahan is favoring star players. If he would've just sat Weber, would've gone a long way combating that claim.

They also need to tell Fleury to play more like games 6 and 7 in of the 09 Finals and less like how I would play if I was out there. Man was that first goal yesterday brutal.

It's not like it's the most egregious thing he could ever do, but when you are doing that shit when you're losing and you are the captain of the team, making yourself look like a child isn't what I would call being a leader.

I would tend to agree. Guys do stuff in the heat of the moment, and I understand the bad blood there, but c'mon Syd. And his little rant at the end of the game just made him sound even more silly.

I like how Joe kind of half-heartedly goes for it at the end, and then just kind of decides it's not worth it. :lol

Crosby should just not talk to the media. Pre-concussion he was too pc, and now he speaks his mind a little too much and it comes off bad. He needs to be somewhere in the middle.

As a Pens fan, I am pissed at Sid today. Own what you did and recognize that you lost control. He looked and sounded like a petulant child. I can't defend him for that. To that end, I wasn't happy with James Neal's explanation.

But, it's not over yet. If Fleury can remove his head from his ass, and the D can step up just a little, the Pens can prevent the sweep. Bryz is still shaky. The Pens have scored 9 goals in two games. That theoretically should be enough to take at least one of them. Blah. What a disaster this series is. I miss Rob Scuderi and the 2009 edition of Sergei Gonchar.

It was just one of a lot of bullshit he did yesterday and when that game was getting out of control like that, that's not what a captain should be doing. It's just stoking the fire imo.

YES, thanks for bringing him up Sara. A seriously legitimate Vezina candidate. I was pretty sold on Lundqvist, but looking back over Quick's complete season... where would the Kings be without him? Especially back when they weren't scoring.

Thank you for being a realistic Pens fans. It seems most Pens fans will never admit when Crosby does anything wrong and try to make it seem like its all a big witch hunt and everyone is out to get him.

Of course, I am all for Lundqvist for the Vezina because he gets robbed every year. But if it goes to Quick I would not complain. His play reminds me of Lundqvist too. I've enjoyed watching him develop.

Scuderi is definitely missed on that blueline. So easy to not realize the merits of a good, solid, stay-at-home defenseman until you need them the most (the playoffs).

No problem. I try not to worry about the criticisms lobbed at him because those would come no matter what team he played for. He does great things for the Pittsburgh community and he's supremely talented. So I will defend him for those reasons. But man, yesterday, he reverted to full on twelve-year-old little brother who whines about not getting enough dessert mode. It was disheartening.

Yeah what's his save % like 96% or something? So glad the Canucks are down 3-0. People can say well teams have come back. Flyers in 10, Wings and Hawks tied the series last year. But I just don't see it with either the Pens or Canucks.

Yeah we had that a few years ago Pens fans just want to defend him to no end. I get the sticking up for your team stuff but when crap like that happens and this response it's true he sounds like a child. Same thing in 2010 after he was cross-checking Zetterberg in the back over and over and Jimmy Howard got up in his face and facewashed him then after the game he acted like he didn't know why Howard did that. WTF? When you pull shit like yesterday and you wonder why people loathe you, it's just a head scratcher.

I couldn't agree with you more. All star players will get unfair criticism but to act like none if it is warranted is homerism at its finest.

So did yesterday's game do really well as far as ratings go? Pretty much everyone I know was watching including people who don't like hockey.

Im a huge crosby supporter, but even I want croz to cut the shit. I wish he would have said, 'i lost my cool, i was trying to rile the team up because we're lifeless out there'. It wouldnt have helped any, but it would have been a better response then he had. He just sounds childish. He doesnt help his cause any acting like that.
