Top 20 maybe to be generous but he doesn't hold a candle to guys like Ovecheckin, Crosby, McDavid, Tarasenko, Kane, Laine, Malkin, Matthews, MacKinnon, Kessel, etc, etc IMO. Those guys are game changers who can carry a team on their backs whereas Marchand is a damn good player but I never saw him as more than a supporting cast type guy since Bergeron has done the heavy lifting through Marchand's career.

Meh, I grew up 45 minutes from the Hartford Civic Center so the Whalers were always on local TV and I got to attend a lot of games until they skipped town in 1997! Guys like Ron Francis, Kevin Dineen, Brendan Shanahan, Mike Liut, Chris Pronger, Ulf Sameulson and some others were virtual celebrities to those of us rooting for the Whale!

I never get why Subban is in the conversation for the Norris, he is certainly talented offensively with that shot he has but when it comes to actually playing D he is often caught out of position - basically I see him as a 3 or 4 D man on most teams.

Philly fans - any updates on Couturier's status for tonight? I know he skated but is still listed as a game time decision. Also see that Hornqvist will be out again tonight.

The way the NHL updates fans on injuries is infuriating, if they do not have say a broken fibula or concussion we are often just told they have an upper or lower body injury with absolutely no details on how bad it is.

Burakovsky undergoing surgery and will miss at least the rest of this round. I know he is not a star but that is a tough break for the Caps. He is young though so hopefully he will recover quicker and be ready if the Caps advance.

So right now the Caps 2nd line is all fucked. AB65 is out - Backstrom is lost - Oshie is half a person

Might be hard to play if hes got a torn ligament or something. I wouldnt bank on it.

Minnesota is cooked. Looks like the Jets will be facing Nashville (barring a breakdown by the Preds) while Vegas faces San Jose in round 2.

Think the Pens will be coming hard in the second but if Malkin is still out of the lineup that will make Philly's task easier.

I know Vegas is probably the easy pick to come out of the west but I think Winnipeg is the better team.

I don’t think Vegas gets past the Sharks. The Sharks know how to put the puck in the net, which was the Kings issue (all season).

Yeah, I figured with Quick backstopping them LA would win the series in 5 or 6 games. LA just could not find the back of the net at all.

A Jets/Lightening final would be a lot of fun to watch because they play such different game styles.
