The ones in the goal posts surely would.

I agree completely but I am not sure if they will be used. They are on the drawing board but using them during the playoffs was not mentioned in what I read.

That would be the obvious place to test drive them but I would also add one on each post due to the traffic and goalie in the net that obscures the cameras at times. Also have to watch out for goalies who know where they are and can shield the puck from the cameras, pucks hitting them and smashing them or the occasional Hank Lundqvist flying off the handle and tossing the entire net! :)

But if Wings win, Canes win and Leafs win, Flyers and Wings are both in and Flyers are within 1 of the Pens. Just saying.

So you're rooting for the Pens and would prefer to be in the wild card spot over being in the top 3 in the division? You really do shoot for the minimum don't you? Guess I shouldn't be surprised since you've never seen a Cup win.

Love how you've been melting these past few days. It's almost like you've turned into a Pens fan.

Re: The NHL Thread

Flyers have a better shot at the second wild card spot anyway. You're right, if the Wings beat the Pens we'll be a point out from the Pens. But I don't think we're going to end up catching the Pens, or even the Islanders. The Red Wings are the team to beat.

All of this is mute though if you guys keep losing and we keep winning. So, why don't you just focus on your own playoff chances instead of worrying about our own?

As to your last point. Very funny. But that's pretty much opening the same can of worms that we've discussed round and round over the years.

I need to focus on the other teams, because the Wings couldn't take care of their own business over the last few weeks. Wings need a little help along the way. And don't act like you wouldn't be doing the same thing if you were in my position. I remember a few weeks ago you saying thank you Jonathan Bernier after he stole the game against the Wings. Doesn't strike me as someone who was only worried about his own teams playoff chances.

That's a game I wish was on NHL Network or something today. Most teams play today don't they? Could be a fun day.

But the "free game" on NHL Gamecenter is Boston/Toronto.

Yippie.

I guess it means a lot to Boston but...yeah. A game where two teams are fighting for the same spot, or a non playoff team against a team fighting to stay in? Hmmm which one would I want to watch?

I haven't been melting. If the Flyers miss the playoffs, so be it. I'll be mad cause they had a chance, but we weren't even supposed to be in this position in the first place. Our future is bright and we're going to be great in three years. I'm more excited for the future than anything else but playoffs would be nice.

And you're right, you need to focus on other teams because the Red Wings are digging themselves in a hole, which is very different from the Flyers who have been winning lately and making their own luck. I never said that I wasn't rooting against other teams to lose so the Flyers could get in. I'll be the first to admit and celebrate that fact. But that's different from what you implied, which was by me not rooting for the Red Wings today I was being dumb because it puts the Flyers one point behind the Penguins for third place, whereas a Penguins win would help us out for the second wild card spot. I'm being realistic here, third place might be a shot for us but it's definitely coming down to that second wild card spot and it's going to be between the Flyers and Red Wings. Your post wasn't fooling anyone.

Go Penguins.

Re: The NHL Thread

Seems at this point I would kind of surprised if the Flyers don't get in. Boston and NYI are both playing pretty badly lately. Wings are struggling as well. The flyers have closed the gap on everyone basically. I say 10 points out of their final 18 gets them in. 12 is a sure thing

That's doable for Philly

I really think Boston might end up the odd team out. They seem helpless right now
