Oh man, even Roy admitted in his postgame that Varly and a little bit of luck were the only reasons they won that game. And this little guy named Blake Comeau, who has turned out to be yet another sly Sakic signing.

Are you randomly a Kings fan? I don't think I have ever noticed you post in the NHL forum?

Either way, I don't blame for looking for something to cheer about after that United game today....:lorraine

So how did he get 3 points with the team only scoring one goal? ;)

Probably the same way Ovechkin has all those Gordie Howe hat tricks

Rumors that there will be a Wings/Leafs outdoor rematch but in TO. Hoping for a better result this time.

They are indeed a very good team but their depth would concern me if I was a Stars fan. In a playoff series I think it will come back to haunt them. If a team can shut down Benn and Sequin their production drops off quite a bit. Their defense is not really shut down at all, only their first pairing is pretty solid. Also their goalie is very shaky in big games and gives a lot of rebounds. To make a real push they have to pick up another lock down D man (possibly 2) and they need another guy to put pucks in the net besides Benn, Sequin and Sharp. I think they will looking for some help before the deadline if they can fit a guy into their cap or make a good trade. That said they are fun team to watch when they are hitting on all cylinders!

When it was 3-1 Boston I was worried but forgo Pasha is red hot. Two goals for Pavel today. I'm not sure he's had a regular season hat trick.

Gonna miss my first Islanders game of the season today as we are leaving for vacation with kids. It's ok since the wings own us anyway this year.

Yeah but they played yesterday and Howie is probably going today. He can't buy a break so.... Have a nice trip.

Also want to give a shout-out to the Blues for beating TBL in regulation. Helps out a lot.

So I want to say go Pens ahead of time cause if my Wings can pull out a win this afternoon they would be within one of Florida. They were like 8 back not that long ago.

3-0-1 in their last 4, including a win vs the hot penguins on the road.
we're ok...
3 very winnable games this week

The child in me wants to rub it in Ryan Suter's face...how's the Minnesota thing working out for ya? Only 9 more years.... While I'd love to have him here, glad they don't have 9 more years of that contract.

That is what makes it enjoyable, you never know what is going to happen. With the Caps currently having the most points in the league everyone is going to be gunning to knock them out. Just have fun with it best you can do.

I never understand how anyone can just switch teams - not saying you are or have any intention to. The only time I can respect changing your favorite team is if they get moved and no longer exist like the Whalers for example. I can see picking a team and cheering for them if your team gets knocked out of the playoffs but once the new season starts you go right back to cheering for your favorite team.

Same thing happened to the Hawks against Anahein on Saturday, they got a point but could easily have gotten two. There was one part of that game that had me cracking up laughing though, Seabrook fired a rocket on net, collected his own rebound and slammed it home - Kane was behind the net for the second shot and he ducked behind the goal so he wouldn't get nailed by the puck if Seabrook fired high.

The more the merrier! Also, I think a lot of people who did not much care about hockey decided to cheer for LA when they got Gretzky in that trade. Wayne did a lot for hockey in the US when he came to LA and was on TV more often.

They still might not make the playoffs :lol

I said they are playing better, not OMG WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY. I still don't think this team is any better that a second round team at best.

Also, to be fair...this team is sooo hard to read. They play great to start the year, then became a middle of the pack AHL team, and now are just as hot as the Caps over the past 10 games. It makes no sense what so ever.

Alright how long till Howie gives up a goal? I love the guy, and will wish him well wherever he is next season, but he's struggling. Wings need to score first this afternoon I think, to give him some help.

That's pretty much everyone but the Caps, Hawks and Stars. Those teams could miss but it would take a lot of work.
