Jagr just got destroyed by Bortuzzo.

thechad90000 12-02-2014 05:41 PM

Watching this Preds vs Canes game I can't help but be proud of the Nashville fan base. There is almost no one in that Carolina arena but I've never once seen a game in Nashville like that. Glad for a pretty die hard, even if a little small, fan base.

Agree with all this. No idea why they selected him. The "draft the best player possible" idea just isn't always the right one.

Nashville fans are awesome. Time and again they receive accolades for how dedicated their fan base is. Other teams have commented on how loud their building gets as well, especially when they make the playoffs. I love seeing them have this kind of success. Nashville deserves it.

I'd rather have Eberle than Nuge, but that's just me. Everyone else can take a hike for all i care. My hate for Yakupov is well documented in this thread. I firmly believe that that pick is the reason they are what they are now. Such a crucial, crucial error and one that (reportedly) came from the owner. :BANG

I never thought I could be so disillusioned as a fan, but here we are.

daveshookme 12-02-2014 07:30 PM

Is never even to a preds game but have ony ever heard good things abt their fans. Gotta give respect to that.

Lucky it's 1-0. Looking sluggish

Kings dominated that first. Switching between the game and Sunset Overdrive.

This post makes me happy. Who ever thought a hockey team would become all the rage in a place like Nashville, TN. So awesome. :thumbsup

Yeah it's really cool. I'm just glad that the games are now at least on in bars without me having to find the channel for them.

Isn't that kind of the point though? It's the people the fans see as stars.

It's a popularity contest, hence why it's always Penguins, Blackhawks and Canadiens, whether they deserve it or not. I've never been a fan of it and I'm glad they limit it to just the starting 5.

i think hockey fans get it right more often than baseball, football & basketball fans when it comes to ASG voting though

Didn't Andrei Markov get voted as a starter one year recently? So dumb

Lol at Pens fans happy about the Jagr hit.

Also, love Nashville and the Preds! If NY can't win the cup I hope they do!

i don't give a shit who he hit

i'm happy about the Bortuzzo hit, not the "Jagr" hit

#LoVE Bortz, wish he would get regular playing time

every time Jagr is in town i cheer for him (except the year he played for Philly)

and i cheered when he finally got up last night, just like the rest of the crowd in pittsburgh

Jagr is the man. I hope there is a suspension for the hit.

why? no intent to injure and Bortz has never been suspended before

barbogast 12-03-2014 08:08 AM

Re: The NHL Thread

The worst part about the hit was that it was pretty late. I have no problem with the hit itself. Maybe I could see a fine, no suspension.
