That was a good game. Good call on the goal in OT.

So, sometimes there are exciting 0-0 games...this ain't one of em. Lots of skill on these rosters, and yet no real action at all. 40 boring minutes of hockey.

God, Brad Richards has some insane vision. Get this fucking guy on a line with Kane/Sharp. Holy shit.

God damnit Seabrook.

Re: The NHL Thread

This game was beyond frustrating to watch. Something just isn't clicking with this team. Too much talent to be 5-3-1.

Edit: Four in a row.

2009-2010 Hawks started 8-6-3 I think. Whatever.

Had the honor of meeting him and Mark two years ago in the press box in Philly. Both super nice guys. One of my favorite moments as a writer for sure.

Saw that last night. Terrible. His mind is going and now this. Terrible way to spend your last years.

A few surprises so far for me this year so far. I know it's early but still surprise. First, Nashville. No way I saw them at the top of the Central, even this early. Montreal is another one. I thought top-4 in the division, but this good out of the gate? No. Tampa and Detroit are right where I expected them. Sens are another surprise. Not sure they keep it up for the whole year. Expected the Avs to take a step back, but how bad they were out of the gate was surprising. But even with that, and being 7 out of 7 in the Central, only 4 points back of 1st. Ducks are doing what we expect. Playoff time though? Same old Ducks and same old Bruce? That's my expectation.

:lol Nah, just very frustrating to watch a team that every year is the best offense (or one of the top offenses) struggle so much. 20th in the league right now, and have given up SHG in back to back games. The Bickell-Saad-Hossa-Richards-Seabrook PP unit has given up 4 odd man rushes on the PP so far this year, and we're only 9 games in.

I know the'll be fine, and I'm sure things will start clicking soon (they always do), but it's just frustrating to watch some of it. I love Q, but sometimes I don't always understand his thought process. I feel like sometimes he tries too hard to find "chemistry" and ignores the easy/obvious answer. Richards should be centering Kane and Sharp. Shaw is not a second line center. Bickell has no business on Toews/Hossa's line. I just don't understand some things. I'm not worried, it's just frustrating/annoying to watch the most boring 37 shot night ever when you have as much offensive skill as this team.

This Voynov situation is really bugging me, cap wise. There is no reason that his cap should count against the Kings. The organization had nothing to do with the situation and are being penalized for it. They could only dress 19 players vs the Flyers because of Kopitar's injury and they couldn't bring anyone up because it would push them over the cap.

I dunno, just seems silly and this could take months to resolve.

They should address this...sort of like how the NFL has a category for suspended guys that can come back (like Adrian Peterson). The Kings are getting screwed by no fault of their own.

There is an emergency cap relief situation. Anyone know why they haven't or can't use it?

I think they may use it now but they didn't have to when Kopi was still playing. I think they just wanted to see how it worked out last night without it and hoping that Kopi would be able to return.

I don't understand much about cap talk, but did know there was an emergency relief...anyone know what it is/means?

Wiz and Anisimov.

Anisimov injured on a really dirty elbow.

anyone follow the sabres in here? A buddy of mine is playing for rochester and should get called up at some point this season, Tim Schaller. He's killing it right now and we all know buffalo could use the help. He played what we all believe to be his final season of competitive slow pitch softball this year. dude can mash...need to find another middle of the order bat now!

6 games he's got 3goals, 4 assists, +6,

the sabres are trying to lose as much as possible this year.
so if he's good, they likely won't call him up.
i think they were outshot 35-8 at somepoint the 3rd period last night :lol

chiarelli says the day of the boychuck trade, this doesn't make the bruins better now, but there's more moves to come..

like what, PEter?

now the B's are using bartkowski and trotman in their top 4 pairings...this is a disaster. B's might be done before Chara even comes back
