What a game. Kings looked amazing in that 3rd period, but Henrik was on fire

Hank is the man! Guy has done everything to keep them moving forward in these playoffs. Got to get back to MSG!

Unreal goalie performances these last two games. A real goalie battle, as it was supposed to be.

Very excited for Friday.

I just watched those three with my students. Yesterday at the staff vs 7th grade football game they did the quack chant. Also, in D3 they use hybrid icing :lol

Surprised this didn't happen on either of the goal lines situations.

Also saw that a year ago today...the Pens signed Bylsma to a two year extension.

Just saw a stat scroll by that Henrik is now 8-0 with a 0.99 gaa in last 8 home elimination games. I think that was how it read. Unreal

That was such a crazy 3rd period. They can't play like that and expect to win I don't think. They had to take one of those two games in LA. You knew Quick wouldn't be that bad for a whole series.

How about those hip checks the Rangers were throwing last night? That's what I've been talking about for so long now - good, clean hip checks that are hella fun to watch, don't injure either player, and are effective. Such a better and safer alternative to the high elbows and such that we're seeing in today's NHL.

The one by Stralman on Doughty literally caused me to go change my pants as I wailed in orgasmic pleasure. Couldn't find a clip of it after a cursory google search, but did find this one, which is similar, although I'd say the one on Doughty was even more crisp and clean.

PS - Stralman, from a defensive standpoint, was one of the best Rangers on the ice last night. Loved how he stepped up.

I was in the emergency room getting my appendix removed while the game was on-- if I watch tonight/don't get another surgery is that going to be a jinx on the Blueshirts? Appendicitis = Rangers victory, I'm in a complete mental pretzel rigt now thinking about what to do tonight.

I'm sure there is some other parts you don't really need and could have removed :p #becauseitsthecup

According to an NHL source, it's a deal with bonuses that could be worth close to $4 million if Kimonen, 39, hits the reachable bonuses.

Re: The NHL Thread

They need to get younger on the defensive side. Though it sucks that Gustaffson jumped ship to play in Russia or Europe hurting our dline even more. Maybe they plan on bringing some of the young guns up and having Timmo mentor them

Re: The NHL Thread

Timonen deal is good.

As for Gustafsson, he will fit perfect in Russia since that's the style of hockey he plays. Kid was way overrated. People had hard ons for him because he could skate. He doesn't do anything else well defensively and he turned the puck over.
