Speaking of the right decision! What to do what to do? Game 7 tonight. Men's league playoff game at 8 p.m.! Ugh. I mean, they (the local men's league peeps) gotta come to their senses and postpone this game, right?

Nah... once you're out there playing, you're completely focused.

One thing you can do, Kev, is take a cell phone out on the bench to check scores. With men's league being more for fun anyways, not a huge deal right?

Shouldn't be surprised but I thought this was supposed to be the most thoughtful of the sports threads or something.

Yes, I'm sure the sports bar down the street caused a problem AT the game. :rolleyes

It's silly to blame just one or the other. Just overall a situation full of morons. No reason to start a brawl at all.

There is one reason, alcohol. These guys get way too fucked up and then tempers get even worse. When you get people who take the sport too seriously and mix in the beer, it's bad.

Clearly you've never been to as Philly arena/stadium in opposing colors. I did once, it was awful. Not worth it at all. They make it zero fun. And I've been to other cities and worn opposing colors and I got heckled sure, but the vibe was still clearly friendly. Not in Philly though. It was a nightmare

wore sox jerseys on 2 seperate occations at Citizen's Bank Park. Most of the fans i met left me alone. There's always goign to be the bad eggs in the group, but philly bad eggs seem to be worse than others

They did back then, moved I think it was game 5 between the Sens and Sabres, to Versus at the time. And like I said it wasn't even for the race it was all the pre-race stuff. I understand the derby gets big viewership but you left an OT game to watch horses lineup....Maybe do the pre-race stuff on another channel until the race and then swap the two...

I agree entirely. I'm just so tired of the "durrrrr Philly" responses every time something like this happens. There are literally countless examples of stupidity from nearly every sports city, many far worse than a brawl at a stadium, but no one cares if the story doesn't involve Philly.
