Re: The NHL Thread

I'll go ahead and do my favorite Caps first round moments (fortunately since it's round one I've got options!!!)

Murphy hits Hunter, he's in alone...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...&v=BL5-whl1ai0

My feelings on Dale Hunter have been documented in here, but there's no denying that for a long time this was the most important Caps goal ever scored and this is still my favorite of the playoff commercials

Anticipating, Ovechkin, here it is...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...&v=9oyJ4auAoDw

Ovie notches playoff goal number one in playoff game number one, finishing off an electric comeback. If I could find a clip if the entire 3rd period I would link it. Probably still my favorite Ovie-era series, even though they ultimately came up short.

Sergei Federov, lets it go...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...&v=V7tg0557_os

Federov boosts the Caps out of the first round for the first time in 11 years. This would end up being the final goal he would score in the NHL. When this one happened I jumped into a buddy of mine so hard I knocked us both into chair he was sitting in and when we took an epic bro tumble on my living room floor. <3 Sergei

Knuble with a chance, backhander loose...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...&v=g51zcqpuy78

Four words. Joel Motha Fuckin Ward. That's all I've got for this one.

Steps to the outside, Kuznetsov around...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...&v=Q2iXKJChy_s

The day Kuznetsov became a legend. I almost didn't include this one, but I had to since it once and for all eliminated any doubts I ever had about the crazy hyped Evgeny Kuznetsov.

I bought Riley her very first Caps jersey when I went to a game back in March and I've been saving it until game one. She'll probably wear it for every playoff game win or loss that way I don't have to consider it a jinx (unless they get swept, then I burn it :lol)

The shirt Griffin wore on opening night last year is not the one he's wearing today. This one is a little baggy on him so hope it lasts...until the fall.

I knew as soon as Aero and Sal started chirping yesterday that we were at my favorite time of the year in this thread.

Since my team obviously choked more than any other in the entire league, I will do my best to chirp all you playoff guys equally. Except for the Caps, because Barry "Jesus" Trotz, obviously.

:lol Poor Avs. Chirp away.

Today's a day I kind of miss working in downtown Pittsburgh. Aside from the Pens game with the big screen, aka Mario's TV, outside, the Pirates are home and Donald Trump and his circus are in town to make Pittsburgh great again. This of course means the anti-Trump crowd will show up and do their thing.

Pre series melt?

Even if we lost 6-0 tonight I would not think the series is over haha.
