Montador probably out for the year, and Toews being rumored (seems fake) to be in a car accident.

Yeah, no way do I believe the thing about Toews. Even so, it doesn't really look that bad, and those L supports are pretty fucking annoying. You can easily see plenty of people running into them. Sucks about Montador. Our D depth was starting look decent with the passable play of Lepisto and Olsen.

Keith - Olsen
Seabrook - Leddy
Montador - Hjalmarsson

Would have been just fine with me when Hammer came back. Now Stan needs to make a trade. Maybe that's why they're trying to keep it hush-hush on Montador being done for the year. Doesn't want to seem too desperate.

I guess, but Q basically let the cat out of the bag about it this morning anyway.

Darren Dreger made a great point last night that a trade for Nash would need to be agreed upon by either Saturday or Sunday, to allow Nash the nescessary time to make up his mind about waiving his no movement clause. You can't go to Nash an hour before the deadline on Monday and ask him to waive it, he definitely needs time to think about it since it is where he will likely be playing for the next six years of his career.

Yeah that's a good point. It's gonna be a boring deadline I think.

Hoping the Wings get a forward for depth at the deadline.

I hope to God the Devils stay away from Zidlicky and his $4 million cap hit for next season.

With Jeff Carter? Yes, I agree. He wants out of Columbus in the worst way.

Nash however, they can be patient and picky for as long as they want.

Looks like Toews really did do quite a number on his Benz this morning.

I guess Toews will be taking a cab with Kane to practice for now on.

Someone should tell him to wear his helmet if he does.

Obviously driving is not one of Toews intangibles.

Detroit fans saying they need more depth at forward is like Ron Jeremy complaining about needing to get laid.

Do you think Toews' concussion had anything to do with the accident?

Would be ridiculous. If he saw like 5 poles and wasn't sure which one he was supposed to avoid :lol

looks like Carter is going to be reunited with his boyfriend in la.

From Bob McKenzie:

Quote:

Bob McKenzie ‏ @TSNBobMcKenzie LAK and CBJ are working hard to get a Jeff Carter trade done -- Jack Johnson's name featured prominently as well -- but told not done. Yet.
How cute would it be to have little Mikey and little Jeffy reunited?

EDIT: HAHA, beat me to it, Brad.

How pissed will flyers fans be if they win a cup out there?

Just what LA ordered, more centers.

Wisniewski, Johnson, and Mason. What could go wrong?

Don't really like the idea of two teams directly below the Hawks making some noteworthy moves. Phoenix already made theirs, and now maybe Kings?

bonzo48280 02-23-2012 07:28 PM

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

so Columbus basically trades Jakub Voracek, Sean Couturier & Nick Cousins for Jack Johnson and a low first round pick. :lol

Saw some rumors that Hawks were linked to Carter so I'm hoping this LA stuff turns out true.

you must have seen this on Hockeybuzz. Finding it there automatically meets the criteria of "not happening." I go there to find out what isn't possible.

Jaeckel is just as bad as Eklund at this point.

And I really don't want Carter...dude seems to have some issues. But at the same time I certainly don't want to see the Kings getting him.

Bingo. Would not want that contract and rumored to be a cancer in the locker room.

this seems to have been lost in the shuffle today:

Bob McKenzie ‏ @TSNBobMcKenzie
CHI puts goaltender Carter Hutton on waivers. IIRC, Hutton was on AHL deal in Rockford, must've signed NHL deal with CHI. #tradecentre #tsn

Would think that if this guy is coming up, Emery or Crow, more likely Emery, is going somewhere in a trade.

I'm hearing some trades are possible this weekend. (e5)
