does anyone know the purpose of having the strobe lights flash that one time every here and there? it happens every single game at every arena, even in the AHL, and i don't get the point of it. i've asked several people who somehow never noticed it until i pointed it out. i don't understand how you can not notice a bright white flash every 20 seconds. it has nothing to do with whats going on in the game. it just happened twice as the oilers made a pass through the neutral zone. not like it was an important play in the game.

They are for the official sports photographers at the arena. Most sporting arenas have them. (mounted flashes) The photographers have their own "channels" that link to their cameras and flash when they specifically take a photo. This has been done for 30+ years- hockey, basketball, etc.

Yeah, I'm still kinda surprised about that. Not so much that the other Caps fan decided to maintain a high level if optimism (a lot of them do that, no idea why) but I am surprised how many of you Pens people decided after game 6 that you guys were done. Like, did y'all forget which two teams are out there or something?

The Caps owed us a win last night and I feel robbed. I've been through enough of this and quite frankly I deserved better. So did the other fans whether they're the pessimistic ones like me or the optimistic ones like Climb. Either way, the Caps owed their fanbase a win last night.

Fuck you, Caps. You are shit and do not deserve my loyalty.

Side note, the conversation on Facebook this morning involves Caps fans screaming at each other about whether or not it's ok to have my attitude about this team or not. Not interested in that conversation at all.

Thanks for all the sorrys, it is appreciated. Doesn't relieve the pain, but I do appreciate that everyone wanted them to get this done for me. You guys are the best and while I'm pretty much all set on hockey for the next five months, be comforted that I'll be here next year too waiting for the collapse.
