letang-martin

I'm wondering if they move someone like Scuderi (if someone will take him). If not, at least Ehrhoff is only on the 1 year deal.

I dont see Scuds lasting long, he just is not going to fit in, especially at his cost. Theres also been rumors about trading Martin. Erhoff's possession stats are great, and he is a better ppqb than letang and martin.
pp: Hornqvist - Crosby - Malkin

Letang - Erhoff

i would not want them to trade marting, i love what he brings

One RT I saw that Caps might be close to signing Nisk. Must be good money because Detroit and Tampa can pay him and are much better positioned to win now.

I wouldnt want to move him either, but the return he might fetch could be good for our forward depth. Someone would take scuds. two time cup winner, teams that need to add space.

No way they could re-sign him at those figures. We'll miss him between The Gabe and MacKinnon, but I think they will continue to be a force.

Still no Nisk so my thoughts are TBL, DET or MIN. I have a feeling at this rate Wings get left out in the dark and he goes to Tampa. We'll see though. If Wings still want to improve it'll have to be for Yandle and i'd hate to see what you'd have to give up, although I do want him on this team.

You know, if we're going for this whole veteran thing, might as well go all in:

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie now COL, MIN, TB, VAN still in on Jarome Iginla.

The more I let it marinate, the more I like the idea of him playing with some of these kids. Move MacKinnon back to his natural spot at C, The Gabe and Iggy on wings. Some magic could happen there. Perhaps.

Addresses the need in the sense that he's stay-at-home and brings good attitude and experience to a young, offensive-minded blueline. But like you said, missed the mark in terms of getting an unhealthy player and paying him a TON of cash.

I mean, we could get into a whole "I bet they are" and "I bet they're not" type thing, but I doubt it. The Avs seem to be targeting certain types of guys to complement their roster. Vanek does not fit that type. Iginla does. Also, they let Stastny walk because they wouldn't overpay, so I don't think they'd shell it out for a player like Vanek.
