Crosby melt against Flyers last week.

Respect his talent but, man, I can't stand him.

Sorry, just the awkwardness of the situation. You don't see many 2 on 0's happening, even at the professional level.

I'm wondering what the NHL protocol would be for that. I know if you place your hand on the puck in the crease, it's a goal. I also think they award an automatic goal if you get taken down on a clear breakaway with the net empty. I'm thinking the same thing here. It's definitely an unsportsman-like conduct.

I would say penalty shot and an ensuing 5 on 4 PP.

Maybe. I'm not really sure.

It is. If a dman/defender covers puck in the crease, it's a penalty shot

For USA hockey, deliberately moving the net during a breakaway is delay of game. The attacking team has the option of a penalty shot or minor penalty. Haven't checked the NHL rules, but they are usually fairly similar.

EDIT: Just checked the NHL rules and it looks like it's a penalty shot. No optional minor.

Nothing horrible in here. Was hoping for more of a "melt" as you called it. But still fun none the less. And the good guys came out on top. (twss)

Jenner and Calvert back tonight!

Hopefully the canes at home will be enough to get the jackets back in the win column.

I will be there loud and proud.

So I'm sure eventually the Caps will win again. Right?

Just wait until you guys see the save Jonas Hiller made on Tom Wilson at the buzzer last night. God damn, made my heart hurt.

Ovechkin has been so fucking good during this losing streak. The team is 100% unlucky right now, and it's getting hard to watch.

Finally, a game tonight as we need to right the ship. Down to their 3rd string goalie, I like our chances to score some. Of course, with the 1030 start, I likely will be watching the first period only and the rest tomorrow morning.
