Puck never went in. They all stopped because the puck was underneath Holtby's pad - that's kind of standard protocol when the goalie makes a save, the play stops. You know, hockey.

the image just posted and context clues make it clear it went in. Youre speaking like theres clear evidence it didnt, which there isnt.

Whatever the call on the ice was fair. Called no goal on the ice should have stayed a goal. If it was called good goal on the ice it should have been a good goal.

Over the line is all you need, though. I can understand why the call on the ice was no goal. I also contend there was some evidence that showed the puck crossed the line, but I can understand the ruling that it was inconclusive.

Regardless, it was not a goal and the Pens lost. They can’t keep going down 2-0 or 3-0. Glad to see Hags and Dumo skating. Here’s hoping the Pens rebound strongly in Game 3.

You guys talkin about the no goal in the Cahps game last night?

Yaaaaaaa, I don’t think that should count. The puck didn’t even hit the bahck of the net. You gotta put that puck in with authority kehd. I don’t think any goal should count if the playah can’t even hit the back of the net! No goal!

I’ll hang up and take your response off aaaaaair.

This is true for sure. I figured how close Francis is with Lemieux and GMJR, the Pens would find something for him if no one else would.

I guess instant reply can’t solve everything. We should put a microchip in the puck or something if we want these calls to be right.

I thought the Pens lost control, not the refs. Two bad minors in the 3rd out of frustration didn’t help their comeback chances.

Then when it was over, they were clearly just trying to set the tone for game 3.

It’s just getting started. And I think a streetfight plays into the Caps favor since Pittsburgh is nicked.

And Hornqvist is a pussy. He’s a good enough player but wants no part of Tim Wilson or Smith-Pelly.

Just slightly biased here. :lol

Agreed. Sometimes I think the whistle goes quick and that whole 'intent' to blow the whistle is nonsense but I agree with you on the call in the ice being the deciding factor unless they can offer up irrefutable evidence that the call on the ice was dead wrong.

It always amazes me how much punishment these guys can take and go down to the dressing room, get stitched up (or have teeth chunks yanked out) and then return to the ice in a few minutes, no doubt with some local anesthesia.

Francis did a lot of the NHL, specifically in Hartford and Pittsburgh but I am not sure he is cut out to be a GM. Carolina had an awful season (mainly because they sucked) so some of the blame has to go to the players and coaches in addition to Francis.

They really look good. That said, I can't 100% say that Vegas won't win it all, but I do think the best two teams in the West are playing in the other series. I like Nashville or Winnipeg to come out of the west.

I do think Vegas wins this series though. If the Preds and Jets go 7, who knows what could happen in the WCF.

They have defied every expectation so far so who know's, if they win it it all I would not be shocked. That said I still stick with my round 2 picks:

Tampa in 7
Pens in 6
Winnipeg in 6
Vegas in 6

Regardless of whom they match up (assuming they advance) they will have their hands full with a great team in Nashville or Winnipeg.

I feel like this is a good time to point out to all of the Philly fan apologists out there (well really just Zilla cause the fine Flyer fan regulars ITT disavowed the beer can throwing) that after noted scum bag Tom Wilson took out another pens player and yet another no call that not one object was thrown onto the ice.

Who did Wilson hit tonight, trying to find video. The hit on Dumo was pretty bad, I think it was regular season it may have been suspension worthy, but who the fuck knows what the wheel of justice will land on

Ton Wilson is a monster. Clean hit.

I’ve pretty much had my fill of the Guentzel-Crosby thing. The Caps gotta figure those two out. If they can figure out how to shit them down they might have a shot. But right now those two are carrying the Pens all the way to lead after lead.

That's the shitty thing about the Pens, you shut down the current hot hands and they typically have a new pair to fill their spot. Those assholes

Honestly I think the Caps have fully handled all elements of the Penguins very well except those two. Malkin coming back in definitely adds in a new element. He’s always excelled against the Caps.

Not even close, the primary contact was with Reese's head and you can clearly see that wilson left his feet to deliver that hit. He deserves a game or two suspension - probably 1 for the head contact and a second game for leaving his feet.

Maybe they need some Ex-lax.

But yeah, they’re killing it. If the rest of the team wakes up a bit more, Caps could be in trouble. As per usual, this series is a battle.

And wow, Winnipeg tied it up, cool.

Primary contact was most definitely not with the head. Not sure what you’re looking at.

If you are skating through the neutral zone with your head down no one can hit you.

Better?

Only nice thing I'll ever say about the Penguins is their PA announcer plays a great selection of old school Metallica.

The 17 slow motion replays they have shown. Maybe he brushed the shoulder first but I doubt even you can disagree that he left his feet to deliver that hit.
