What a 3rd period by the Islanders. Down 3-2 to start the 3rd and the boys, especially the top line , brought it. Okposo with 4 goals. Thank you to Downie for losing your cool again and securing us the win.

I am have so much fun watching this team of mostly kids play.

1st place!!!

Icelanders are clearly headed to the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if they can hold up come post season. Always have to worry about a team that has not been there in a while.

Would love to see a NY v NY series!

Wonder if team USA would rethink their decision to not put Okposo on the Olympic team last year.

So who had the Islanders in the pool as the first team to 30 wins in the NHL this season. Crazy, isn't it.

Jets beat the Hawks in Chicago for the 3rd time this year. That's impressive.

Real dumb play by Carcillo last night. Really too bad because Perreault had been playing so, so well lately. Still got a soft spot for the guy, I loved him while he was in DC. Hopefully the DoPS throws the book at Carcillo.

That was just a brutal game. Detroit totally destroyed us tonight.

I said the other day I thought it was an advantage for the Wings that the Press were playing Friday and it was the Trotz game. Game was over in the first 15. Felt bad for Hutton cause none of the goal were his fault.

Wings didn't get that luck. Habs and Lightning both won. Thanks Isles and Avs.

Hutton catches a lot of shit from the Preds fanbase. It's really too bad as I think he normally does a great job filling in for Rinne in back to backs. The whole team came out sluggish last night and paid the price for it big time. Gotta give it to the Wings, they came to play and Nashville just did not at all.

That and Zetterberg's shot off the back of Mazanec's head was pretty sick.

Rangers are playing out of their minds lately with the exception of two games. Also, have a great record against the MET. Pens had many chances, just could capitalize on them.

How quickly things can change. 3-0 after the first and now 3-2.

Maybe I'm behind but they're reporting on NHL pregame show that Bruins will host Canadiens at Gillette in WC next season.

Piers Morgan is sitting a few seats next to me. Sporting some Kings gear. Wouldn't have thought him a hockey fan.

Carrcillo gets a whopping 6 games for his 9th suspension. NINTH.

Dude, I get that cross checking in the arm isn't as significant as some of the head shots being thrown and some would say that 6 games is already a lot for a cross check - even one that injures - but when a guy has already been suspended EIGHT times previously (and fined an additional 3), you'd think they'd come down a little harder. He's obviously not getting it.

Yeah that's a bunch of BS. Haven't even seen the incident but that's BS.

Yeah for a first time or a "light" offender I guess you could say, yeah. If this was your first or second time 6 games is good because it was pretty needless but when you continue to do stupid shit? Whatever I guess....

So score checking last night, Leafs lose to the Canes....the Canes. Babcock really wanna go to that???? lol I think I saw three jerseys thrown on the ice and saw a quote from Kadri all worried about how people can do that and not get thrown out and I'm thinking "that's what you're worried about?" No wonder your team blows. I remember the quote from Horachek after 2 games in charge like "I think guys are buying in." or something. Yeah...looking good now huh?
