D) all of the above.

Still in disbelief this morning. A couple of breaks and/or bounces our way and we could be up 3-1.

All of this plays a role obviously.

But also: As noted in this thread several times, my first team I liked and that got me into hockey was the Florida Panthers. So I have always not really liked Tampa as a result. Also, I really wanted the Flames to win in 2004 because I had met some of the players at a Devils game that year (even went out and bought a flames jersey for that playoff run), so that one still kind of hurts too.

I said the same thing in the 2014 finals. 3 of our 4 losses were in OT.

I can tell you why I hate to see Tampa win. It's the same reason I hate to see 29 of the 30 teams in the nhl win.

They aren't wearing Capitals sweaters. Simple as that.

Barbs point also reminds me of one more reason. I have never liked Tampa's jerseys or colors. I find them pretty ugly.

I actually think they've done a good job with their most recent look

I love the unis that just say BOLTS in diagonal. But they could do so much more with the lightning theme.

I think this was the problem with their old black sweaters. Too much happening. The new blue one is clean and sharp. Not overly cartoonish like it used to be.

Re: The NHL Thread

That's kind of the way sports and hockey especially goes though no? Breaks and bounces, things could go either way if one or two things go differently.

I generally don't have an issue with many opposing teams. The only two I distinctly dislike are the Vancouver and the Habs. Fuck them.

The jersey set they have now is very nice. Both home and away are clean and sharp like you said. And they have the all black alternates the have the diagonal BOLTS across the chest which looks good as well.

Yeah, I agree. Their uniforms are damn classic. Love the color pattern.

In non Pens/Caps news. Bruce headed to the Wild. Glad he's staying out West. Sure he might lose game 7s but he would have made the Sens a lot better and I don't want that.

Nice job by the Caps to force a game 6 that I hope they win. Also be a nice boost to get Orpik back.

Not Barbs, but in first listen Bismark was pretty good. Would need to listen to Bob Law and Samurai again to make an opinion.

Also in the 2 games the Caps won I've seen a grand total of maybe 10 minutes from each games, streaming from my phone. Both wins I was at a concert. First Pearl Jam, second DMB. For the sake of the Caps, is there a show within 2-3 hours of Harrisburg I can attend on Tuesday?!? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Thank God I've seen Last Stop>Billies combo in 2010, otherwise I'd probably jump off a bridge for letting my man Kev get those tickets.

I'm glad everyone had a good time though!
