During the Stanley Cup playoffs, Bednar says Darcy Kuemper had to go to optometrist 2-3 times a day to "re-train his eye".

Other injuries:

Val - broken foot
Burky - broken foot/thumb
Kadri - broken thump
Girard - broken sternum
Helm - abnomimal tear

I get analytics in some cases, but this expected goals stat is just a fun way for losers to say, “Well we played well enough to score this many goals!!”

What does a soccer analytic say about a 0-0 draw? “Manchester United really outplayed them, they should have scored 1.2 goals!” GTFO.

Hell yeah I did! He was sitting on the front of the fire truck wearing it! The pic you posted is much closer and clearer than the one I got.

I know we might not be able to afford him but I'd love to have him back next year. Kadri is great.

I won’t blame him if he leaves — he might not be able to sign a fatter contract over the course of his career than he will right now and he doesn’t have “I want to win a Cup” motivation anymore — but I would like to see him come back, too

Bolts re-signed Paul to a good deal. That was a necessity. Now do Palat. Unfortunately, re-signing both of them means the reports of us trying to unload McDonagh are probably legit.

Would hate to see him go, but we prob do need to move him before he eats 2,000 more shots and sours other teams more on his contract.

Hopefully Killorn and maybe a couple of our 4th line guys get moved too.

It focuses primarily on '96 through '98 and mentions the '01 Avs and '02 Wings Cups briefly at the end

Agreed 100%

Same night Sakic wins GM of the year. I am not going to question him. Plus, I am a fan of Frankie. Between the two of them I think we will be in solid shape. Are they Roy? No, but they don't need to be.

And I still laugh at that trade! Right when I was getting into hockey. It didn't make sense to me then. It doesn't make sense to me now....but we reaped the benefit!

Exactly, right? There are only so many elite goalies on Roy’s level in a generation and the Avs don’t have that right now

And in the cap era, probably are unlikely to be able to bring in talent of that magnitude without losing a key component elsewhere

I hope they give Frankie the job

It was sarcasm dude. I've never heard of any of these guys. The only people that know these people are Canadians who watch Junior hockey. Occasionally there are games on NHL network and it's a shame because Junior hockey is pretty darn good hockey. I watch it if I can.

This is the worst thing about the whole day. Fletcher made all of these moves and there is a distinct possibility that he'll be out of this job by December.

I see the Flyers coming out of the gate really slow, end up in the bottom of the standings by Thanksgiving and the organization will fire Fletcher, putting the team back to square one in terms of coming up with a direction/identity.

All of these moves from the trade deadline to today should have been made by someone else. Fletcher has pretty much been a dead man walking since the Giroux trade and today didn't do him any favors.

Character and attitude issues aside, Fletcher pretty much confirmed today that TDA is pretty much sliding into Ryan Ellis' slot. Tony D might be good offensively but his defensive metrics aren't good, and he's certainly not a first d-pairing. I don't think he's averaged 20 minutes in his career yet.

I also find it suspect that Carolina had no problem letting him walk despite having him on a pairing with Slavin last season.

Pretty incredible that either the Wings or the Avs won the Cup in five out of the seven seasons between '96 to '02

Finally finished the documentary last night.

Interesting you left with slightly less hatred for the Wings. It brought back all sorts of anger for me, lol!! I still hate Scotty Bowman. Seriously fuck that guy. I always kinda liked McCarty and hated that he was on the Wings. I think he comes across well in the documentary. Good on him and Claude for getting together like that. Pretty cool. I still think Draper is a little bitch, too.

Fuck the Red Wings.

Ooh, yes, fuck him. I never liked that dude. Crawford seems ashamed of screaming in his face that time and I was like get his ass, Marc :lol

Agree as well on McCarty. He seems like a genuinely decent dude.

I respect him for being loyal to Draper. And I can't really say I blame Draper if he's still not over it for Claude rearranging his face.

I respect the loyalty as well. Seems like McCarty respected Claude’s loyalty the second right as well. I dig that.
