Re: Your 2021 Concerts

The only shows I know that have been rescheduled for next year is Wilco. I imagine it's way more than that.

I know I'll do Roo next year, regardless of the lineup.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

When possible, I'm hoping to see:

DMB
Khruangbin
PJ
Phish
California Honeydrops
Goose
The Sheepdogs

Really itching for a show today.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

Sturgill Simpson & Tyler Childers outright cancelled their remaining tour dates. Kinda surprised they didn't go the route of rescheduling for 2021. The way it was wordered I'm wondering if so much is already on the books for next year with planned tours and rescheduled dates it just became impossible to map out a tour.

Really bummed I'll miss the 3 shows left I had tickets to but glad I got to see the one show to start the tour. That was shaping up to be a helluva tour.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

DMB
Avetts
Ben Harper
BNL
Tedeschi Trucks
Lukas Nelson
Widespread Panic
Ani
Ziggy
Warren Haynes/Gov't Mule
Ringo & His All-Starr Band
Tool

and others...and maybe it's not until 2022. Whenever it's deemed safe.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

So far with all the rescheduled dates it's starting look like bands are basically copying 2020 dates to 2021.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

I'm 100% onboard with their protocols and honestly expected it to be that way. It's kinda surprising they haven't done screenings or proof of health prior to entry before now in retrospect.

That said, will they actually enforce it? Yes, corporate wants to do this but you're talking lower income individuals working doors who don't get paid enough to care. Some of the larger venues, arenas and stadiums, will probably follow procedures but I doubt clubs and even some theaters will care. They'll just be glad to be open again. They're not going to be turn people away.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 12:00 p.m. ET

In a move that seems to mark a shift toward the return of live music in New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced that qualifying arenas and stadiums across the state will be able to start welcoming in-person fans for ticketed events beginning on February 23rd. The decision comes as the state’s late-2020 COVID-19 spike continues to dip and other facets of everyday life begin to return (indoor dining in New York City, for example, will resume this coming weekend).

Qualifying indoor arenas across the state and stadiums with a 100,000-person total capacity will have to abide by a strictly-enforced limited capacity of just 10%, and fans who do choose to attend a sporting or music event must provide a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Mask-wearing, temperature checks, and assigned seating will also be required as part of New York’s latest step in reopening its live events industry.

“The testing to me is key. I can go see the president of the United States, take a test and if I pass the test, walk into the Oval Office,” the New York Governor said with Wednesday’s announcement. “This hits the balance of safe reopening. A PCR test is as safe as you can get.”

For now, the decision appears to mainly apply to athletic events. In New York City, both Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center plan to reopen with extremely limited fan attendance for their respective NBA and NHL teams. Citi Field, which is currently being used as a city-run mass vaccination site, will also aim to prepare the stadium for in-person fans ahead of the MLB‘s opening day in April. For more information on the gradual reopening of stadiums and arenas in New York, head here.

Yeaaaaahhhh, not gonna be seeing any of these this year it seems.

Edit: It appears that Tame is still scheduled for July 30th here in Denver, but I don't think it's gonna happen as planned at this point in time.

Currently planned for labor day weekend. I'll be shocked if me and 80,000 other Roovians congregate on the farm this September.

I feel like I'll probably get the chance to see Goose, Billy Strings, California Honeydrops and a few others in 2021. They won't be completely normal, but I'm hoping to check out a few medium sized bands that I really like.

I technically still have a ticket for Chris Stapleton for the end of this year.

If I don't get to dance my ass off at a Dua Lipa show this year, I'm gonna suck it up and wait until it's appropriate to do so

But I won't be happy about it! *shakes fist*

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

The only tickets I have in-hand right now are 2 DMB shows in September and the Doobie Bros + Michael McDonald in October.

Doubt these shows will happen.

Speilmen230 02-11-2021 01:36 PM

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

No tickets in hand. Thinking of springing for a ticket to Tame once my tax refund comes in. Worst case is it gets refunded.

Re: Your 2021 Concerts

I mean there will be shows this year, just not mega acts in arenas or stadiums before fall.

Plenty of mid size artists will do the drive in thing again. Billy Strings just announced a three night run of pod shows at St Augustine Amphitheater in FL for late March.

I still have rollover tix for Peach fest and 4 Phish shows which im sure will all get moved/cancelled.
