Why do I keep thinking that was game 7? Ah well. Good thing the Flyers paid good money for Bryz then, eh. Let's see how he holds up in Round 2.

Clearly. If the Flyers execute with a man advantage they're going to score a lot of goals, and whoever they face is going to have to be very mentally tough not to crack because of it.

Forcing a game 6 after being down 2-0 takes a lot out of a team. Not really surprising to see the Pens flat today.

I thought they'd be flat in Game 7.

Philly fans were rattled. Team was not, and if they were OMCG brought them alive right away. Cindy and Sulkin have not. Credit where credit is due.

When were Philly fans rattled? I heard nothing all week but "they'll win it in 6 at home."

All the media said the crowd was rattled before the game. National media too.

the won something like 25 of 30 before the playoffs, and played their best hockey up until the last week or so. yes they peaked early.

They definitely played their best hockey in Feb and March, but I think this was more of a mental break down than a physical one.

And yet the national media doesn't know what they're talking about when discussing the Pens. Got it. :thumbsup

The national media said the crowd in the building was nervous today based on their mood in the pregame. That's different from the playing armchair psychologist.

You're right, Philly doesnt get rattled at anything. They are one of the best cities in the country in just about every major category.

If this got to game 7, Philly would be flipping shit. Going into today, not so much.

Every fanbase in the history of 7 game seires is going to be nervous in their last home game, except Philly. They have balls made of unobtanium.

Common sense tells you that you don't want your team playing Game 7 on the road.

i think its fair to say the difference in this series has been special teams.

I'd say special teams and focus are the difference. If Pens just held the lead in Game 1, we're going back home with a chance to win.
