They will lose him for nothing. With the ability to talk to guys from the draft until July 1st, there is no reason to trade for a guys rights so not even a conditional pick now.

Not even confirmation on stuff like the Meszaros deal. Makes me think they are gathering details on bigger stuff. Perhaps.

But yeah, Chris is right. The official trade calls can take a while after the deadline to come through. There's still time.

Small trade, but Avs acquire Reto Berra from Flames. Should be able to slide into backup role after Jiggy retires. Capable. Nice move by the Avs. :thumbsup

@RobRossi_Trib Told #pens felt they had substantial offer to #Canucks. Feel ownership nixed plans for trade that would have sent Kesler to Pitt.
