No Holtby, Ovie, Backstrom, Orpik, Carlson for the caps tonight.

We're talking about a Boston team who led their division as recently as within the last month or so. To drop that fast and finish with a showing like that, well I guess it's to be expected per their own fanbase.

Claude is a really good coach. I'm not sure they find better if they let him go. The Bruins were not a good team this year. Like I said they had no defense. I'm not shocked at all they lost like they did without tuukka in net. I can't believe people actually are honestly.

I'm going to be really shocked when their offense doesn't look as good as it usually does.

Doesn't that kind of show the team they were? Why are you surprised a team that played that awfully down the stretch got smoked with an AHL goalie in net? Makes no sense. They just were not good this year. Of course they played well at times. Mostly when Marchand was playing out of his mind but that wasn't going to keep happening.

:rolleyes

Really good coaches get their teams up and ready to play if a win means a shot at the playoffs.

Looks like it's about time to bring on King Henrik and the Rags! I imagine the Isles will breathe a sigh of relief, though the Panthers will be no easy task.

Yeah, both the Flyers and Caps are playing solid games tonight. Going to be a fun Caps/Flyers first round matchup!

Hell all the first round matchups are going to be battles though I expect Dallas to beat down Minnesota and the Penguins to beat the Rangers fairly easily. The rest of the series's I would not care to wager on at all. I would probably favor the Islanders over the Panthers, Detroit could beat a banged up TB, Phillie could upset Washington, LA probably beats the snot out of Nashville, the Ducks and the Sharks is going to be a tough series and the Hawks Blues series is going to be an absolute grind, especially with Keith not being on the ice in St. Louis for game one.

Regardless of the outcome this playoff season is going to be very exciting to watch.

Flyers are going to get smoked. Better them than the Bruins. Congrats to the city of philly on a successful season though.

Considering we have a rookie head coach and was pretty much picked to finish in the bottom five at the beginning of the season, I'd say it was very successful.

Julien is a good coach. He knows what's he doing. I think he kinda lost the team though. They've had some head scratching moves the past year though. Trading a 3 rounder for Rinaldo, moving Dougie Hamilton, and then drafting three players who weren't supposed to go that high in the first round. All terrible mistakes.

My mistake, I typed that based on the NHL.com predictions before he end of tonight's games. Still, both should be great series's! :)

This would be relevant if our team never won a Cup.

Off the top of my head, I'm trying to think of franchises that have never won a Cup. Barbs, can you help me out here?

Don't like our first round match up obviously. Will be surprised if the Ranges see the second round.

Panthers and Islanders is kind of cool because one of them has to finally win a series.

Congrats to the philly fans for getting in.

Yeah, probably Coyotes - maybe St. Louis, Columbus and possibly Winnipeg. Not sure and I am off to bed so I am too lazy to check on google. Night all!

Hope the Hawks and Kings both exit early. Lots of talent in the league beyond those 2, would be nice to see it highlighted.
