If it doesn't involve anyone else, like the Kings and Ducks, they might. And again I said they weren't going to elongate it any more than they had to. We've also been saying TV comes into it too. Your schedule would have Rangers and Pens overlapping with Bruins and Habs tonight and on the 8th. The NHL has had a perfect TV schedule so far, with very little overlapping and this round has been great.

The coaches too and all of their referee and penalty talk is annoying.

I'm pretty sure they will not start a conference finals before all semi-final series have been completed.

Either way, my point is that TV is all of it. They could have easily scheduled Pens-Rags to have standard off days but opted not to for TV. MSG's schedule did not prohibit that, and in no way was the scheduling the Rangers fault.

I'm not sure what people were expecting. It's bruins/habs. There's going to be some talking on both sides.

I have no problem with what dougie said. If anything it gives price something else to think about. Get in his head a little bit. He thrives playing close to the ground so now if he is thinking more about playing up high it could open up some more opportunities.

If they continue to play the way they are (which is exactly how they played in 2012), then I believe they will as well. Top goalie, superior defense and the top forwards are putting away the puck.

I was really nervous at losing two D men in the last few games. But last night Shultz moved up and really impressed me. But, regardless, the losing Mitchell and Regehr (blah) could damage us in the long haul.

:lol Those links don't confirm anything. The first one is pure speculation from a Pens fan blogging and the second doesn't even mention a reason outside of referencing a "scheduling conflict." You seem to be hanging your hat on this "the NHL doesn't like offsite morning skates" notion, because otherwise they absolutely could have had a fairly normal schedule. Nothing you have said proves otherwise.

And they could have done what they did in the first round and ran games 6 and 7 back to back if they wanted, because Consol is free that entire week until Saturday.

Those people aren't writing for the Pens. :lol

And the actual schedules at each venue don't lie. They had the availability. The NHL didn't want to mess with its television schedule.

But hey, let's blame the Rangers, for no reason whatsoever.

CRAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I just put $20 on the Hawks finishing this series out in 5 games.

Then I'm expecting a great series with LA, with the Hawks prevailing in 6 or 7 games (c wut i did thur?)

And onto the Finals, where it's anyone's Cup. But probably the Hawks. I'd like to beat the Canadiens. That would be fun.

No, actually.

So give our boy Chad your thoughts on Laviolette as a coach since he's the new Preds bench boss.

I don't know if you guys saw the story or not, but Hawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson took a puck to the throat last game. He's currently unable to speak because of the injury.

He didn't miss a shift, and is playing tonight, probably won't be able to fully speak for a couple weeks.

Hopefully he is saving for a quality headset too. Not sure I can deal with Matt the hurricane for another EASHL season.
