Invisible all season... until he plays the Avs. <slow headshake>

Strong game by both teams. Nice job of clogging the neutral zone by the Wings. Really suffocated the Avs speed, which they rely so much on.

"Franzen has 15 goals and eight assists in 28 games against Colorado; Datsyuk has 17 goals and 26 assists in 40 games."

I don't think that includes the playoffs where Franzen had 9 goals in 4 games back in 08.

Informal vote time. Only those who cheer for non-shit teams need apply (vote)

What team is truly the worst?
Sabres, Devils, Oilers, Flyers, Panthers

I was reserving judgement on Devils at first cause they were in most of the games and thought they'd get there but so far...not so much.

I'm torn between the Sabres and Flyers. Oilers if they had decent goaltending would be better, not good, but better. Panthers are also bad but I'm not sure they are quite at Sabres/Flyers level.

also McLeod has been offered in person hearing so it could be a longer suspension. Kronwall did say after the game it was mostly his (Kronner's) fault for turning into it but it was still something I think could have been avoided at least a little.

Flyers. See, the Sabres were supposed to be bad... we all knew they would suck. Philly at least had semi-high expectations.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got more than a couple games. Yeah, it happened REALLY fast, but I think McLeod could have minimized it a bit. Tough to say when you're not out there on the ice.

I'd say sabres.

Sabres or Flyers, the other 3 at least have some sort of future or youth.

bluejackets game last night was simply infuriating.

Rally back from 3-0 to tie it and then give up the go ahead goal with a minute left.

at least boone jenner is going to be the best hockey player of all time.

read this about the flyers: Giroux, Coburn, Hartnell, and Timonen are the only 4 left from the 2010 finals team. that just seems like crazy turnover to me.

It's just so frustrating. I knew we were a middling team at best. But this is just so shockingly bad, so early. And the fact that there doesn't seem to be any hope/direction is equally as nauseating.

GM has got to go and I'm now coming around to trading one of Coots or B. Schenn to get something in return. Anything....

bonzo48280 10-18-2013 09:32 AM

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

Flyers should trade everything that doesn't start with a C and end in an laude Giroux

EDIT: Really though, Coots Schenn Giroux and Voracek are the only guys who should stay. Trade everything else for anything else.

I think the Sabres are the worst team, but the Oil or Flyers are the most disappointing.

Flyers have so much talent, it is easy seeing them turn it around. Especially if the rest of the metro (first time saying metro. awful a division name.) continues to look like garbage.

That division has been shockingly bad early. I know it's early but looking at the points, two teams in the Atlantic have 4 points or less while in the Metro five teams with 4 points or less.

It's still way too early to look at it that way.

Love that NJ hasn't won, and is still ahead of Philly in the standings.

(I know, I know, I cheer for the Oilers and thusly my trash-talk has no standing)
