I am stunned at how many scoring threats Montreal has both offensively and defensively plus a netfront pest like Shaw look so lost. They can barely buy a goal and their power play is atrocious. I am amazed they and not scoring more. Also, in addition to their weapons on O and D they have one of the best goalies on the planet who handles the puck with his stick better than any goalie out there. Have to believe they can turn it around because they have a damn solid team, on paper anyhow.

Was just coming in to post this, so classy! Nice to see them up 4-0 early (4-1 now) and seeing Engelland score the second one after that heartwarming pre-game speech! So many great moments in the game, not to mention the pre-game ceremonies! Hope they win tonight! Way to go Vegas, well done!

The positive I take out of my Wings last night was Mrazek looked sharp and actually kept it a close game. Wings started off like shit in the first period though, which was a problem most of last season. Hasn't been too much of an issue this year until last night, I hope that doesn't start back up again. Blashill is a guy on the hot seat too. Not sure they need to make the playoffs for him to stay but they need to be a lot more competitive than last season. Holland doesn't have an extension yet either so I'm guessing that might mean he will be reassigned after the year and they'll get a new GM.

Also, I echo the thoughts on the Vegas game last night. Great ceremony, nice touch with the boards, loved the introducing of local first responders/doctors and nurses. Really well done. The game itself was a real nice cherry. Great stuff.
