In their last 19 periods of hockey, the Caps have outscored their opponents 28-3. Not too shabby.

Jamie Benn is angry he didn't play center today.

It's amazing how fast puck luck can change in the sport of hockey

This Caps-Pens game is straight out of 1987.

Yea. Rough period. I think there were only 2 clean goals by the Penguins

9 goals in one period. What the fuck :lol

Crazy game. Lots of fun to watch, especially with no vested interest......except cheering against the Caps of course.

I don't like to cry about refs but I'm not so sure the reviewed one should've counted.

It's been pretty consistent.

They did challenge it. Then again, I'm not sure what actually counts as goaltender interference these days.

I know they challenged it. I think it probably should've been reversed. I know I've seen examples of much less contact and far more incidental contact disallowing goals. I mean Hornqvist pretty much pushed Grubauer. That's no goal, in my attempt to look at it unbiasedly.

I understand your point. Hence my confusion over what actually amounts to interference as it is called inconsistently. The Pens had a goal disallowed just last game on a similar play.

I think it could have easily gone either way. Wasn't Hornqvists fault he ended up in the goalies grill, but it did look like he gave a little extra shove. Hard one to call. I think because they called it a goal originally it ended up with the right outcome. Had the original call been no-goal then I'm sure the review would have confirmed that too.

I think that game needed more goals.

I don't know how to say this without sounding whiny but there was a clear missed call when Alzner got boarded and there was a clear missed call when Ovie got tripped. Both plays led to immediate goals. That's frustrating.

Yea, also the no call on Oshie in the 2nd hurt too

Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)

Meant to type with the above as well, Hornqvist gets 1 or 2 games for that hit on Oshie, no?? I haven't really been following the suspensions this year but check to the head with no injury is probably 1 game

Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)

In today's NHL, a hit to the head that doesn't result in an injury is a two-minute minor and a fine of $10.

Anyone who thinks this has zero taste in music. I can't even begin to think about what kind of music you all like and I am surprised to find you on a DMB fan page because most people I know that hate U2 listen to club house music and go to EDM shows.

Anyway, shit show of a hockey game last night. NHL wishes they had more games like that.

Geese, didn't mean to hit a soft spot.

U2's music is not appealing to me in any way. And I still have good taste in music. A lot of people don't like U2 actually. On top of that I couldn't ever bring myself to give Bono money.

I love this stat:

Matt Murray is the first goalie to play a full game, give up seven goals and earn the win since Dominic Roussel in 1994.
