Dave loves playing Pig for philly. Every year that it has made an appearance since 2006, Philly has gotten pig 6/9 times. Which is pretty crazy considering each year has 7 plays on average.

I love that this tour has brought 88 different songs to the table in only 14 shows, so far. I'm betting on another TD or two within the last 4 shows. I'm down for more D&T shows forever and ever.

2016 - 88 songs in 41 shows

Although I'm glad that people are enjoying this tour, from the videos I still think I'd prefer DT in a small venue. I can't deal with these acoustic songs accompanied by people walking around and talking with beers. I'm no snob but I find that really distracting.

Amazing setlists for this tour. I'm curious to see what 2018 brings!

Listening to an old show I went to at the Nassau Collesium many years ago...they opened with the Last Stop...its literally the best LS I've ever heard since Roi died...worth a listen if anyone cares

I'd really like to see them do a few some devil songs that have been needlessly on the shelf at spac. I know it's probably not a high energy song live but I'd love to hear Dave and Tim do trouble.

It is awesome but if Dave at least brings a sliver of this variety/setlist writing into next year 2018 should be a really good tour. Hopeful thinking I know.

Still give me DMB over D+T anyday.

Don't forget that 15 of those 88 songs are Tim Reynolds solo tunes.

That was 2010 right? I was up at school in Albany and went to the show there the night before. Was pissed I couldn't see them 5 mins from my house the next night. Would have been even more pissed if I didn't get LS in Albany. From what I recall, it was not originally on the setlist in Albany.

Edit: Ah, Albany was a couple of nights later. Got it backwards.

That is correct. Original encore was Rye Whiskey, You & Me, Tripping Billies and they subbed out Last Stop for Billies. Was my first Last Stop and actually a pretty good version.

Fun fact: adding all 41 live trax digital downloads brings your cart to $629

For a second I misread that as adding all the live versions #41 as digital downloads comes out to $629. That's a lot of 41's.

Earlier today I took the liberty to check to see if management went back and started offering any of the older LTs as a 24-bit 192 kHz downloads beyond just the four they've offered before. Nope, still only the four.

I recently came into a bunch of old Warehouse discs and on WH 8, Vol. 6 has a Time Bomb from the Gorge. I've been going to the Gorge for 11 years in a row (would be 12 if they had West Coast dates :grimey) and realized today that the Time Bomb on that WH disc is the last time I ever heard Roi. Just thinking of you, Blue Eyes.

But Roi never played on Time Bomb.

Re: Random dmb thoughts that don't need its own thread

just listened to two versions of ants back to back. One was 5/7/16 and the other was 7/16/00

One was fill with unpleasant sounds while the other was fill with mostly pleasant sounds. You guessed it... 7/16/00 was filled with mostly pleasant sounds while 5/7/16 was the opposite.

Goh the difference in the two versions is unbelievable. On the 2000 version you can hear daves guitar without constant loud shredding. Also Dave is not making the stupid blabbering noises at the beginning and even Boyd's sawing in 2000 didn't seem as bad. Overall seems like a whole lot more energy put in to the 7/16/00 version. But that's understandable because of the age of the band members then compared to now.

its just a shame that 3.0 has managed to make some good songs unappealing at times. Like 3.0 ants doesn't really sound like dmb IMO

with that said some songs are just as good in 3.0 as any other era. But ants ain't one for sure.

It really makes one wonder why full band shows are lacking variety in recent years.

Does this contract the "Dave is lazy/too afraid to dig deep" theories?

Clicked "random show" my my favorite website, came up with 6.6.2008. First thing I noticed - Dreaming Tree opener. GOOD. NESS. That would be something.

Doubt it

Maybe minor league, but those are probably more of a pain then what it's worth

check out the dreaming tree from 6.3.08, that opened as well and it is absolutely fantastic. a DT opener is as amazing as you think it is.

I'm guessing no. Which is a shame. My first show was at a minor league ballpark and it was a blast. Plus, was at the Wrigley shows and that was just amazing to stand in the outfield and see them.

Ryen Russillo (ESPN) talked about them for a bit on his show last week. He is a fan and favorite song is OSW.

I could see them playing Wrigley (and similar ballparks) again in the future.

stadium shows are generally terrible. not sure why you'd want to deal with that instead of a normal pavilion

I wonder what Dave's physical training consists of, he looks way more fit than he has in the last 10 years or so.

I miss the feel of stadium shows. I like to change it up. I have seen the band at Giants Stadium twice, Citi Field twice and Fenway Park twice. I loved every show!

I also love the pavilion shows as well, but like I said, I enjoy the change of setting.

I could really go for some MSG DMB shows though.
