Would love to go, but between a baby appointment at 4pm and work at 5am Wednesday, getting up to Verizon Center will prove difficult :lol

Not surprised tix are so cheap though. A Tuesday vs the Oilers is as vanilla as a game could be. Still better than last year, I looked into a Tuesday game vs the Islanders last season and found tix for $11 each

I hope so, Claude was saying two weeks ago how they lack depth. No reason not to keep him up.

rickyh24 01-14-2015 08:33 PM

I can't see how they could justify sending him down

Seems a little light for such a flagrant elbow, but I guess that's where having such a clean reputation really helps

I miss those days...so much. You can't get a pair for under $200 anymore in Chicago. It could be a regular season game against Carolina on a Tuesday and you'll see 300 level corners in the last row for $130 each.

would you rather have low ticket prices or Cups?

The price of success. It does come with it's problems.

Yeah, Stanley Cups > low ticket prices

Should this make me rethink going entirely? Thoughts from the unintelligent hockey fans in here?

You can find out what a Gordie Howe hat trick is, so there's that

Just checked the scores from last night. Jackets can't do anything right. Wings needed a Habs regulation loss or any loss would have been ok but noooo. I do thank the Ducks for the Leafs loss though.

Yeah, his otherwise pristine record helped. I was surprised when it happened.

I had a feeling the Vanek deal would turn out this way. Hopefully he can turn it around.

You called, I answered. Personally, I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to truly get some insight into who teh brohanz is and what makes him tick.

Looks like Rinne is going to miss about 3 games and the All Star game with a sprained knee. This is pretty good news. Looks like they're just being cautious and given the workload he gets on a regular basis, he needs the rest.

That is very good news, awesome. Kinda fortunate that it happened over the All-Star break so he can have that added rest time.

Extremely fortunate. I mean when he left the game the other night there was a long discussion on the ice beforehand. Mazanec just got called up and Hutton (though he's yet to win a game this year) should be good enough to mind the net during the three game stretch.

Ugh, Kings. They are really good and letting in multiple goals in a short period of time this year.

They are just a bad hockey team.

I was not disappointed at all Vanek didn't sign here with islanders. I doubt we would be where we are right now if we did sign him. We might still sign Halak but no way we trade for both Boychuk and Leddy. Maybe 1 of them.

Good to hear he's ok, though I'm kinda bummed he'll be out against the Caps on Friday. Was looking forward to the test. Also woulda been a good show since both he and Holtby have been so good. It does increase our chances to win I guess.

Yes and no as Snow offered Vanek 50 million and was turned down. With his gambling problems, you would think he would taken more money.

Well duh, but they had the lead in the 3rd and took a lot of stupid penalties in the 3rd I guess too. I mean Wings need to take care of their own business but some help wouldn't be bad.
