I would like to take back the lol guys I just gave you

To your first point, I wish people would stop referencing ovi's records I'm game 7's, it's not him, it's the caps record. One player can't do it.
I was watching PTI today at the gym and they were talking about that, as much as they want to make ovi into LeBron or Peyton it's just a different sport, it doesn't work.

To your second point :lol sorry, I don't have a strong preference to either team but I think I'd like to see the islanders go on a run the last year in the coliseum. I won't be angry if the caps win though, I've developed a bit of a soft spot for ovi this year after seeing him at the all star game....

A lot of feeling each other out there. Both teams started a little tight. We were tentative. Things seemed to loosen up a bit. We need to obviously get more pressure on Holtby. Not many shots that period. Satisfying period as we are not behind.

Like 2008 when they lost game 7 of this very round at home versus Flyers. Like that 2008???? :)

Game 7s totally are the best when your team isn't involved.

You're right, it is a team sport and it takes more than just Ovie to get it done. And the Caps have had many problem over the years, sometimes much deeper than Ovie's consistency problems. But that said, Ovie's never really shown up in a game 7, certainly never took one over and really put it on his back. I generally agree that hockey is the ultimate team sport however in this instance I feel it's justified to criticize Ovie due to his failure to really take control of any of the game 7's, or really series as a whole for that matter, that he's played in. His overall playoff numbers are good but I don't think at the end of any series he's played in he's really emerged as the true star of that series. The only exception is probably the Rangers series in 2011, but of course that was followed up by a sweep by Tampa. That's a little bit disappointing.

And yeah, Ovie does a lot for the community and for the league. Always makes time for kids and stuff like that. We can certainly critique him on the ice, but there's no doubt he's a really good guy off the ice.

They were young then. That was such an awesome series. I still say game 1 of that series is probably my favorite game of the Ovie era.

Don't think we can beat the Rags, but excited to try and see how the series goes. If it's the same time as a Caps game, that shit is getting rescheduled (or I'll just let her pick without me).

Well the beer will be out tomorrow. Beat the best home team 3 times there? I'd be floored if they do that. If we're looking at patterns, no team has won back to back games in this series so there is hope for me. Although very little. If they lose, I'll look back at game 4 as the turning point. Even though they won game 5, they could have, hell should have, been up 3-1. Series could have been over this weekend instead of going to 7.

North America....just saying. But if Wings win, it is funny that all 4 left would have the colors.

So we think Kronner gets a suspension for this hit last night? Contact to the head happened, but whats his face was pretty low so hard for the head not to get some contact. He knew what he was doing, trying to get his team going again. Hope it doesn't cost him game 7.

ive been pretty out spoken in defending the NHL for its leniency but i don't see how he doesn't get at least a game for that. It sucks that it's a game 7 but that was a blow to the head, excessive force, left his feet etc. I can't believe he didn't get a penalty.

Yes, I do.

Don't see it happening. Even if they can win Wednesday they've got a tough road with the Habs and most likely the Rangers after that.

Hearing for Kronwall. Hoping just a fine. No injury will play a part probably and game 7 probably will too I'd think.

Pretty sick indeed.

Kuzy after the game: "It's not time for celebrate."

I love Ovi/Kuzy's version of English. Ovi said a few months ago when asked why he celebrates every goal so much, whether he scores or not: "I love to celebration. I love to goals."

Well played.

Red, white, and blue. Not Bleu, blanc, et rouge.
