4 pts is pretty much my average...but i'd likely end up with -1 for picking 2 too many songs that night!

Think that its going to be amazing :thumbsup

You realize its a pseudo-prequelish film to the original Alien, right?

Alien and Blade Runner are two the greatest sci fi films ever made. Especially in terms of aesthetic. Both made by Ridley Scott (who is Prometheus' director). He's been MIA in the science fiction realm since 1982. I'm excited he's come back.

Another plus for Prometheus is that Scott went old school with building sets and using physical effects. CG only where necessary or overly too expensive.:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup Mad props for that

:lol:lol

On the contrary, I actually am excited for this. I love the first one. I don't have very high hopes for the second one though.

Comedy sequels are dangerous territory. Rarely are they good/better than the origial/as good as the original. And its been 10 years(?) since the first.

I'm looking forward to it, but its got that riding against it. Break the norm, Anchorman 2!

On a side note, like Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman was one I went opening weekend to an almost empty theater...yet, a year later, people knew the movie up and down better than i did.

I loved the first one, but I don't see how they can make a second one without it being the exact same movie

I'm fully expecting Anchorman 2 to suck, but it'll have it's hilarious moments. I love Will Ferrell

I liked the first one. Liam Neeson was a badass in it. But like you guys said, its gonna be the same movie.

Its a good little B movie actioneer. Doesn't matter if the first one was good or not for a sequel. low cost movie that brought in a bunch of $$$, they'll easily go to bat again.

Don't buy the whole "because we want to convert to 3D" excuse. The movie most likely isn't that good and Battleship totally sinking at the box office scared Paramount off. As a result, that Seth McFarlane movie "Ted" got bumped up 2 weeks.
