All they needed was a point so I'm happy. Disappointed Monster keeps getting some bad breaks. The second Neal goal (Matt's best friend) went off DeKeyser and the 3rd one squeaked through him. Same kinda stuff was happening against the Habs. Thankfully Howard's the rest of the way and he's been great. 23 straight years...wow. I was 7 when they last missed. Kinda sad when you think back on it. There were only 21 teams in the league then, and it was a divisional playoff and the Norris only had 5 teams in it. So they were 1 of 5 that didn't make it, and only one in the division that didn't that year.

Just kinda funny that when the league grew to 22, 24, 26, 30 teams they make the playoffs every year. But when only 5 teams DIDN'T make the playoffs and only one team in your division missed it every year, you didn't make it in. I wasn't watching back then, but had to suck for teams when they did miss thinking you were 1 of only 5 that didn't make it in. 76% of the league made it in every year back then.

on paper the jackets should be a tough matchup for the pens, i don't know why the season series was so lopsided.

i notice that todd richards likes to match jack johnson against crosby, and he hasn't been that effective

crosby seems to out-skate johnson on a regular basis, but thats not a knock on johnson

also, how many times have the pens been healthy when they've played CBJ? not many i'd bet
