I am pulling for a Flyers-Kings final. Would have some great storylines in that one.

I went to high school with this guy Rob who was a great lacrosse player. As a senior, Rob scored several goals in one game, and a pissed off opponent took a baseball swing at Rob's leg with his stick away from the play, shattering his knee and causing muscle/ligament damage. As a result Rob lost a year of his impending college lax scholarship. Rob's family sued the kid in civil court and won substantial damages. However, that's not what happened here.

Exactly. I actually took sports law class in law school and we talked about this sort of thing. An action has to be completely outside the realm of play for civil or criminal penalties to be imposed, which is exactly what you just described. If the kid in this story took a whack at the other kid's head with his stick, then that would be different. But it seems like the kid just made a hard but legal check.

Obviously I am stupid, but is this just what the seedings would look like overall of teams remaining?

:lol Nicole a trophy wife. Fuckin' Avery

Quote:

The analogy is apt; Brown was still a teenager at the time. According to L.A. players and coaches from that era, Brown's lisp was not Avery's primary target. Avery also zeroed in on Brown's girlfriend—now his wife—a slender, fresh-faced girl-next-door-type from their hometown of Ithaca, N.Y. Apparently Avery didn't think she was glamorous enough to be the girlfriend of a hockey player in Hollywood. "I am not a trophy wife," says Nicole Brown, who has been with her husband for almost a dozen years (and married to him for five). "By any means."

No its their seedings from the beginning of the playoffs. As in there arent 2 one seeds, or 2 three seeds. Thats each teams original seed. One of each seed made it to the second round. Pretty awesome, I'm not sure Ive ever seen that.

That's what makes it the best playoff sport. This season shows just how unpredictable the NHL playoffs can be. Couldn't ask for more!

Its worse than I thought it would be. The section next to the Coyotes bench is like 40% full.

Yeah when they show wide shots of the arena you can really tell.

Phoenix is a complete joke when it comes to sports. Only reason they sold out first round was because it was Chicago.
