The whole Jagr thing is absurd. Stringing people along, flat out lieing to others. The situation appeared to be very exciting in the beginning but as each day passed with no decision, it made me want him on the team less and less. I'm glad Shero decided to end the nonsense and not put up with his antics. I can only imagine that this behavior is just a glimpse as to what he'd be like during the season.

Kennedy signed for $2mil per for two years. Wings get Miller signed for $855k. Not bad at all. That is how champions do it.

Last straw for #Pens was the other teams being brought in Thursday night. Way this was handled by Jagr doesn't sit well with #66. #tribpens


I hate that this basically ruins Jagr's legacy again in Pittsburgh. Not just with the fans this time either, but with the Big Guy.

A little. I don't think anyone really knows what happened back in 2001. Some in the media and some in hockey seem to think he's a little moody, but basically a good guy. Other people think he was an immature asshole at 30, and still is at 40.

I'm sure the truth is somewhere in between. I really thought he could help fill a big hole in our lineup, and maybe even teach Malkin and Sid a thing or two.

I'd like to think Mario isn't that dumb or petty. It's a business. It's about winning the Cup, and maybe Jagr doesn't think Pittsburgh has it. Just because Jagr said in jest that he'd play for them league minimum for Mario didn't mean he was going to do it.

The Pittsburgh media turns on people with breakneck speed. I'll be interested to hear what Madden has to say. Usually he mocks the Ron Cooks of the world, but today I'm afraid he'll join them.
