You can clearly see what happened here was that Lockman missed the clear Slap Shot reference where Paul Newman as Coach Reggie Dunlap goes on the radio and puts a bounty on the head of Tim McCracken. For that reason, Lockman had to receive a brief suspension from the NHL thread.

:lol On Monday morning in the NHL thread an incident occurred in which Chris Lockman of the Chicago Blackhawks blatantly missed a quote that every respecting hockey fan should have picked up on. As the posts clearly show, the reference was made, and Chris did not immediately understand that it was referring to the hockey film, Slap Shot.

While we believe Chris's assertion that it was innocently missed, the fact remains that it was a blatant disregard of the Hockey Quote rule. It is also important to note that Chris has no prior history of missing hockey quotes.

To sum up:
- Hockey Quote rule
- No injury
- No prior history

The NHL Department of Player Safety has decided to suspend Chris Lockman for one hour.

Concussions are documented to cause personality changes. Sid is acting insane. I don't see why that's such a crazy hypothesis on my part.

It's completely possible that he's frustrated and still messed up.

He's frustrated. If he came out and said something else, people would find a way to spin that as a negative too. He did some dumb shit yesterday, but the hockey playoffs are filled with dumb shit. He's basically the LeBron of the NHL at this point.

Literally, no one else in the league as a camera trained on them to catch a glove being knocked away.
